Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

They weren't even close in the 3rd period last night... more interested in running their mouths to Chimera then stepping up and putting a body on someone and stopping the puck

With all due respect, Chimera was the butt hurt one trying to start a fight with Nash (I believe is who it was).

Just a complete mental lapse down the stretch. It was like as soon as they scored their first two (within 2 minutes of each other), it was like all of the wind was out of the sails. They just let Ovechkin take over and win the game. UGH.

You're right, Chimy was the one who started most of it

The players union, in it's infinite stupidity, has blocked the realignment plan.

I'd say the chances of a work-stoppage (i.e. strike or lockout) in before the beginning of last season is about 10000000000000% now.

Unbelievable. Are the players trying to make the NHL unwatchable? Granted, us Jackets fans haven't had much to root about, but the realignment just makes sense.... It would make every team more competitive in my IMO

Oh no! You mean that we might not get to watch the Blue Jackets lose next season?? Sounds like they are going to save some Columbus hockey fans some money!

Being a Detroit fan first, no hockey next year would suck. The strike DID cost us one more season from Yzerman.

WOW, a pitcher's duel, Sanford pitches a shutout vs the LA Kings 1-0. Of course the Blue Jackets scored on an unearned run by Grant Clitsome (whoever he is) in the top of the second (period). Clitsome was safe at first on a fielding error, stole second, went to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a balk.

Absolutely. Anytime there is a strike and fans don't get to watch their teams it's awful.

Again, those fans root for real professional sports franchises. This is the Blue Jackets we're talking about here.

And I know they won today...
