Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

A few years ago, the league tinkered with rules to increase scoring (moved net further from back wall, limited goaltender puck handling, etc.). 4 on 4 OT is intended to prevent teams from playing for the tie (more space, take a defenseman off), as is the shootout and guaranteed point for a regulation tie, but I think the 4 on 4 predated those.

I'm telling you, I really like what I see from this team. That's about 4 games where last year they get 1 point, or lose at the end, or piss away a shootout...this season they are getting 2 points out of those games. They keep doing that, and the playoffs are a possibility.

I think the most important thing about this team so far is the fact that the bottom 6 is coming up with huge goals. They've been more productive than the top 6. And it looks like the Nash/Brassard/Voracek line is clicking.

Holden has really impressed me. Commodore should be traded when he's healthy, as much as I like him. He's even more expendable now than he was.
