Columbus Blue Jackets (Official Thread)

Five and Three.

It's funny. Heard on the radio that attendance is down and the players are trying very hard to win to get ratings back. With the exception of the Chicago game, they've played pretty well, really. But, I don't think a lot of people know they've played as well because you look at the standings and they're buried. Had 8 points entering the night, showing them in the cellar. This team is not playing like a last place team, that's for sure.

It's way early, but I hope that they are able to keep this up.

I think you mean with the exception of the Calgary game....ok maybe the first Chicago game.....

The Central Division is stacked. It probably won't happen, but literally 4 of the 5 teams could make the playoffs out of that division (Detroit, Trashville, Shitcago and St. Louis or Columbus)....the Northwest is BAD (I don't care what Calgary's record is, they aren't a good team) and the Pacific is a one team division and has a good team playing badly (Vancouver)...

I'd be surprised if Columbus made the playoffs over St. Louis. The Blues have an excellent defense and they're relentless along the boards. And they're showing the ability to win at home this year, which was their biggest problem last year. If Boyes heats up... they'll be really good. They're just better than the Jackets in every way at this point. The Jackets could be better offensively by the end of the year, but the defense and goaltending will make up for it.. sucks. I don't see the Jackets making the playoffs this year. Division is too tough.

I really like Kyle Wilson. Has a good set of hands, seems to have good vision and he can play a bottom 6 role. Nice, versatile player. Had a really nice assist on Pahlsson's goal tonight.

Eberle, Hall and Horcoff just had a nice play on the PP.

1-1 so far.

Kyle Wilson with a goal and an assist now. :banger:

The Nash/Brassard/Voracek line is really, really good. That line will put up some points this year.
