It's nice to see Nash getting a point there on the assist. He's been in a little bit of a funk since his hat trick against Det.

I'm hoping for Mason to Goose egg them tonight. He's playing well again

As soon as I clicked the link into here, we score....4-1 Blue Jackets. Nash with another assist.

The Blue Jackets 4 game win streak thrust them in to a 3-way tie for 5th place in the Western Conference. Monday, they start a stretch of 5 games in 8 days, hosting the Stars. They also play the other team they're tied with (ANA) on Sat.

I agree maxbuck! CBJ had a tough time playing their game as Carolina keeps the pace going. 5-1 win is a beauty though.

Dallas tonight at Nationwide.

We need to come up with a nickname for Nationwide arena. Like The Pond in Anaheim or the Igloo in Pittsburgh.

What about The Hive??

Anaheim got smoked by Atlanta 8-4 last night. With a win against Dallas tonight, we would take sole possesion of 5th place in the West, leapfrogging Vancouver by a point. The best part of the current scenario is we currently have two games in hand over ANA, though we are giving up one to both DAL and VAN. Dallas has been on a bit of a scoring slump, and the Jackets have a 1.5 GAA since Mason's return from mono.

The Dallas Stars have been a fixture in the Western Conference playoffs for the last decade, while the Columbus Blue Jackets have never reached the postseason in franchise history.
But the two teams find themselves in the same position going into Monday night?s matchup in Columbus, as they?re tied in the standings and both looking to remain a leg up on a crowded cluster of contenders in the West.
The Blue Jackets (28-23-5) have moved up the standings by going 14-7-1 since Christmas, and they?re hoping to ride rookie goaltender Steve Mason?s breakout season to their first-ever berth in the postseason.
Mason made 26 saves in Columbus? 5-1 over Carolina on Saturday night, helping his team match a season high with its fourth straight win. The club hasn?t won five in a row since December 2006.
?We?ve put together a pretty good stretch of hockey,? Mason said. ?I think everybody realizes what?s at stake with the games left this season. We have to take advantage of it. The standings, every day they change.?
