Come on now when we lost to PSU we fell from 2nd to 6th in a game in which we dominated. They "the committee" know the issue will fix itself in two weeks when we face off and they "the committee" just told the world we (us and ttun) are the actual championship game

I do agree with your interpretation of this. And now I get what you mean. But when you originally said "they" said so, I thought it came from official channels. Anyway, no harm done. Just wanted some clarification as my roommate hogged the TV and I didn't get to watch the show. Thanks!

What this tells me is we need to redraw the fucking lines when it comes to our conferences because like hell should we have scum, PSU, OSU, and MSU in one conference. Even the best team in the big ten can lose games and even though I'm confident we are in this year provided we win. The last two years we have lost to the wrong team and last year paid the ultimate price. Not to mention the pressure they will feel to leave us out again.

Simple you give us Purdue and give the West MSU.

Of the top 9 teams OSU is one of them and will have played four of the other 8. After we beat UM we will be 3-1 (4-1 against the top 18).

Wisky has played 2 of the top 9 and is 0-2 - 1-2 with a BIG championship.

PSU has played 2 and is 1-1 - 2-1 with a BIG championship. They also have a 39 point loss. How they would jump any one loss team would be a mystery to me.

Also note - and mark this in your history books - there is only one SEC team in the top 14 spots.

I may take some heat for this, but Alabama is a paper tiger. The defense is very good with some great players at each level. But what dynamic offense have they shut down? The SEC is overrated this year. USC has undergone a drastic change since game 1. The Bama offense isn't that scary either. The O tackles are great, but interior is meh. Kiffin has done a great job of masking the inefficiencies of the O. But I could see OSU and Clemson winning.

If OSU makes the playoffs, they're playing Clemson in the first round. scUM holds the 3 spot now but they won't be there once OSU beats them, Clemson will be, or they'll jump to 2 (by virtue of a conference championship) and OSU will be 3. Either way, that is where this is heading.

Edit: Never mind. I may have interpreted what you said the wrong way. I'm starting to think you mean you could see OSU or Clemson beating Bama. NOT OSU and Clemson (currently vs. Bama in projections) winning their first round matchups.

Everyone understood the competitive imbalance of geographically-split divisions from the beginning, which is why the conference originally went with the widely-panned Leaders and Legends divisions.
