College Football Playoff (2015-16 Season)

The SEC exposure is comedy

Auburn
Ole Miss
Arkansas
Texas A&M
Georgia
Tennessee
Missouri

Miss State is probably next, LSU might get added to the list if they lose to Arkansas

This is why preseason polls should not exist, these garbage teams get hyped and teams get way too much credit for beating them.

Pretty much the reason why we are looking at a 1 loss Bama as 2. Georgia at least had their best player hurt but no one wants to admit they were wrong

Besides Georgia, The Texas A&M game pretty much set Bama right back up, Texas A&Ms hype was based off of beating a preseason "top 15" Arizona State team week 1.......who is now 4-5 and clearly a sham. Now Texas A&M is coming off losing to an awful Auburn team.

There should be no polls period until at least week 8.

It doesnt much matter so long as you're in the top four. That said, I have trouble wrapping my head around a one loss team that lost to an unranked ole miss being ranked in front of a one loss team that lost a close one to the team rated 1. I'm certainly no domer, but how the committee can justify bama ahead of ND is laughable.

All that said, any undefeated p5 school should, in my opinion be ahead of any one loss p5 team.

Bama didn't lose to either Pitt or Wiscy...in fact Bama beat Wiscy by 18, not 4.

No, they lost to Ole Miss.
FWIW the Committee themselves thinks Wiscy and Northwestern are both better than Ole Miss... and figure even Pitt has to be in the same region
So putting aside your personal opinion, you'd at least have to admit their own logic is not internally consistent.

Not saying the committee is right or wrong, but in my opinion if Alabama played Iowa this weekend, they'd pound the Hawkeyes (just like we would). Alabama had an early season fuckup, similar to what we had last year. They've had a few close one sandwiched in between dominant performances since then, but don't forget we had a close one at Slappy Valley last mid-season. I have no real problem with them being in the top 4, because if they win out and win their conference they'd get in even if they weren't in now.

In the preseason, media honks were crowing about the fact that TEN!!! schools from the SEC were in the top 25.

Now there are four: #2 Alabama, #9 LSU, #11 Florida, and #17 Mississippi State.

Meanwhile, there are now six Big Ten teams in the top 25: #3 Ohio State, #5 Iowa, #13 Michigan State, #14 Michigan, #18 Northwestern, and #25 Wisconsin.

Will anybody from the media step up and inform the public of these facts? Don't hold your breath....
