Pretty sure the line wasn't OSU +30 and the over/under wasn't greater than 100.

It might have been Miami -10 and O/U (48)

Im sure that was sarcasm cause it seemed like that was what everyone was saying..... but you are close.... it was anywhere from 9.5 to 13.5 if I remember correctly.... which is huge for a BCS title game.

So that would mean the moneyline would have been somewhere roughly between +325 and +450? Wow.

you could also throw in that they couldn't punch it in from 1st and goal on the 2 yard line to send the game into another OT

I have tried that route also, but, according to them, that last play OSU had 5 or 6 guys offsides and that is the only way they could have got through to Dorsey.

Honestly, I have given up on trying to "debate" the thuggies on that game and simply say "Scoreboard" in response now.

On a side note, a co-worker/thuggie texted me right after LeBron's annoucment something like this: "You stole a championship from us, only fitting we steal your best NBA player from you" even though he knows I am not a fan of the NBA. I don't think they will ever get over it.

And that they were favored by 30+ before the game and thought they were going to hang triple digits on us. If they were as great as they thought, they wouldn't have let it come down to calls in OT. University of New Jersey at Coral Gables Guido Fcukers.

Don't forget the post-game "Back 2 Back" victory party tickets a couple of Da U playaz had all printed up.

Best response is to say "the call" was good karma we earned after the officials blew the Chris Gamble reception in 2 ways:
  1. It was a catch
  2. The holding was so bad, his jersey ended up over the shoulder pad
The official correctly calls it a catch...game over
The official correctly calls it a defensive holding...game over

My Miami friends normally get quiet after that. I just flip it on them and tell them Ohio State was almost unfairly ripped of the game by awful officiating.

No way! We had to have AT LEAST 12 players offsides. AT A MINIMUM.

Colin's still an asshat.

What I can't figure out is why this loser's thread is in the Buckeye Football forum instead of the lesser College Football (or other more appropriate) forum. This this is sullying our forum!

You mean you don't see it in the College Football forum? :sneaky:

Absolutely. Gamble's jersey was stretched halfway back to Columbus. OT calls, good or bad, are irrelevant since there should never have been an overtime in that game. The Zebras don't blow that obvious call & there isn't time left for the tying Miami field goal, never mind possibly another Buckeye touchdown if they'd retained possession on that drive.

Miami wants LeBrat, they can have him. I'll trade a spoiled empty-promise-maker for a solid crystal championship trophy any day.

at Mandalay Bay, Miami opened -13. the line dropped to -11.5 at kickoff. i don't remember the money line. +375-450 sounds about right.

biggest money line i've seen in a championship game was the Patriots +550 against the Rams. i had the Pats. :)
