FWIW, Colin just stated on his show that he loves a "little bling" as in the "big time programs". Said he loves watching the big boys and mentioned one team from each sport/league. Lakers, Yankees, Duke basketball and Ohio State football. Re-itterated and said he likes Ohio State football. No mention of any other schools. Nice little shout out there.

Lakers, Yankees, and Duke bball. That's three programs guaranteed to blow up the phone lines for weeks with haters.

I'm not sure throwing Ohio State football in that lot is flattery.

He just wanted to put another college football team in with that group to upset the Domers.

I think it's more a total recognition factor. Nobody confuses Cowherd with any type of legit sports knowledge, but he knows marketability and name recognition.

OSU, Lakers, Yankees, Duke...pretty global names in their respective sports.

Precisely my friend. I would rather OSU be recognized as the face of a quality college football program than Notre Dame. Even if it's just Cowherd rambling, it's good to hear.

I think Cowherd makes more sense than pretty much every other blowhard in sports media. Granted, that's not saying a whole lot given all of the morons, but...

I disagree. I got bored with Patrick a long time ago (he was still doing Sportscenter). I don't catch a lot of talk radio but I'll listen to Cowherd over Patrick.

well it would be easier for me to listen to cowherd if he didnt have that annoying lisp and the face of a weasel...and he hates everything that has to do with ohio
