I don't mean directly. But I am not listening to his show so I can't really make a judgment or know the context of his statements. However, he has been talking about OSU in the past few days and he continues to talk about how we are sloppy or don't show up in the big games..... so then what exactly is he getting at? Does not he have enough ammo with the BCS title game and upcoming weekend... why is he focusing on a 2 loss team that is out of the national title chase? Maybe he is trying to stir the pot a bit, but I find it hard to believe he is that slow with nothing else to talk about.

You say no to the espin conspiracy and I tend to agree with you. I say that stuff mostly out of hate for the network.

But how much have you heard about the goings on at South Carolina on espin? A school that had proven violations and had scholarship and recruiting reductions? Does the fact that the coach that was at that school during those violations now works at espin have anything to do with that? I would think so. All I ask is a little consistency.

Cowherd is just doing what many others have done. All you have to do is look cross eyed at Ohio State and you have a topic of discussion for days because Buckeye fans are passionate (and obsessed many times!!).

Well #1 he's not a Pac-10 homer, and #2 I would make fun of the retards that call his show too.

I agree the callers sounded a little over-homerous (probably not a word). I think Colin makes some good points about not being consistent but doesn't have a sound argument stating ND is better. I think we all had huge expectations coming into this season and we rightfully so. Some of us are trying to justify the 2 loses but the fact is we came up a little short in our 2 biggest games and nearly did against Michigan. At least the W we pulled off in our 3 biggest games was against Michigan. Overall, I don't think anyone is upset with the turnout of the season. We wound up sharing the Big ten title and we are probably headed to a BCS bowl.
Here's to hoping we get to play ND in the Fiesta.:cheers: :cheers:

tOSU fans are notorious for emails and phone calls to complain.

Sorry, but that gets old...it embarrasses me as a fan and a graduate of the school.

With that in mind, Cowherd is obviously rattling the chains here...and of course the predictable tOSU fans are biting and complaining. Cowherd went from having a debatable point to saying tOSU is just not a good team. We lost to PSU and Texas...straight up. No excuses, nothing. We got beat. However, when Cowherd starts railing on a below-average Michigan team, his intention becomes obvious.

I'm not biting.

Its time to get some thicker skin. Games are settled on the field not on some radio show or on Sportscenter. Let them rattle on...I'll let the pads do the talking.

I realize that the moderators here give us a great deal of leeway, and I have certainly taken advantage of that leeway myself.


That having been said, I would not shed any tears if this thread were locked, deleted, purged, folded, spindled, mutilated, chopped to bits and used to fertilize a patch of skunk weed which would then be ground to mulch and burned, the ashes then being poured into concrete slabs and thrown into the Marianas Trench.

I listened to about 2 minutes of what he had to say Monday and got irritated. So....I turned it off. It isn't worth getting upset about something trivial just two days after we beat scUM in their stadium.

there are two things that folks need to realize.

1. he is trying to cause a stir, and osu fans are notorious for taking the bait each time.

2. even if osu fans call in or email with a well thought out respectful response, it will never get any play. he's going to take the dumbest of the dumb and ride it to better ratings.

it would take all of 30 seconds of respectful discussion to take his argument and dance the jig on it, but it will never happen. so as it stands, osu fans look like chumps while cowherd sits back and laughs at the chaos he caused.

Again, I have never listened to the guy, but if his entire routine is simply to stir the pot in order to increase ratings, why are so many of you wasting your time listening to his blather.

In addition, what is so great about the guy that some feel the need to come to his immediate defense? If this was Dodd or any other sports writer/radio personality, nobody would be defending the guy. What makes a guy that is simply seeking to piss people off worth the defense?
