Coaching changes: coaches hired and fired, comings and goings

do they have to post those jobs on there???? If not then Indiana is WEAK.

The Wisconsin D-Coordinator position is also up there, I kind of suspect that they do or else it's policy for them to. OSU had their head hockey coach position posted there when they were looking for a new one

Looks like Edsall is leaving UConn for Maryland.

Kind of odd. Seems like a lateral move to me.

That was my first thought, but I think Maryland is actually a step up. There's relatively little football talent coming out of all of New England compared to the Mid-Atlantic. Plus, having lived in both Connecticut and now the DC-metro area, the Maryland program at least has a following. College football may not have the obsessive following here that exists in the Midwest and South, but people in Connecticut seem to care more about the women's basketball team than UCONN football. But Edsall's move is a glaring indictment of the Big East, IMO.

Pitt is in a real mess, but what about Frank Solich? He coached at Nebraska, he's actually winning at Ohio, and he's from Johnstown, PA.

Edsall made $1.6M this season at UConn; earlier reports said Maryland was looking to throw as much as $3.5M of their Under Armour money at a new coach. Seems like a pretty lateral move in terms of team prestige, but it sounds like he's getting a lot more money at his new job.
