Purdue: The Lafayette Journal and Courier is reporting the Purdue athletic director has flown to Akron this evening. It should be noted that Akron is close to Kent State, so it's possible that the Purdue officials will meet with Kent State head coach Darrell Hazel

Tedford has never run a read-option based offense, though. I don't know, maybe it's not that hard to adapt, but the two offenses are much different.

He still knows how to make sure that QB can throw the ball...

You'd still probably want another guy making the OC play calls, but Tedford would be the perfect guy to show a QB how to make the right reads and throws.

In a stunning coup, Arkansas will hire Wisconsin's Bret Bielema as its next football coach, Yahoo! Sports has learned.
Bielema, who has taken the Badgers to three straight Rose Bowls, was nowhere on the radar amid months of speculation over who Arkansas would hire.
