Coaching changes: coaches hired and fired, comings and goings

Coach O needs to be in Vegas like Paige Spiranac needs to be on OnlyFans.

wow! that's actually a great comparison.

at this point he's more famous for telling you he's great than he is for actually being great.
IDK if I'd agree with that, he did some great things at JSU. And parlayed no HC experience at the collegiate level, to leading an FCS school to 2 conference championships, winning one, getting MULTIPLE P5 offers, and then signing a P5 HC deal. Idk if there's a HC in CFB history that had a career move that fast!

But @BuckBackHome 's comparison is also a great one! Because even though it's CU, he's taken a step into the big leagues

The Kardashian comment is more along the lines it sounds like he is going to document everything and turn it into a social media frenzy. Not sure how that is going to fly with student privacy rights, but that's CU's worry.

Here's some money, sign this waiver.

Problem solved.

Deion gives me Mel Tucker 2.0 vibes

Great recruiter and good enough of a coach to stir up some success at lower levels and maybe even early on at a higher level.
But I question if he could sustain success at any (but especially a bigger P5) program.

jury is out on Mel, but it hasn’t looked good lately.

if his name was Joe Smith without the "Prime Time" persona, he doesn't even get hired by JSU.

I don't know about that.

He'd still be Joe Smith, NFL Hall of Famer.

sure he would.

but he’s far enough removed from his playing time to where kids coming out of High School have never seen him play.

so Hall of Famer is just a title to them.

hell there are guys in the Hall whom i’ve never heard of, or seen highlights of.
I see the HOF behind their names and accept they must have been great in their day, but other than that, doesn’t move the needle.

that’s where Deion is.

But that’s not the case, it’s Deion “Primetime” Sanders, and that’s what makes this story that much more interesting. His persona is what makes people watch, and for JSU to give him a chance.
So that argument isn’t a exactly the best, since there’s only 1 PrimeTime

Uh, please believe that all of these kids’ parents and coaches have seen Neon Deion, and have them watching all of his highlights and interviews on YouTube. Also, Deion was also an NFL analyst and has stayed active on social media and has had a reality show. Deion is not someone like Otto Graham Chuck Bednarik, teenagers still know Deion. And even more, they know his son, through football and social media as well.

He’s not just A Hall of Famer to even younger generations
