The last ND AD fired Willingham after 3yrs, and gave Weis a massive extension after 1yr, and the next AD canned him after being on the job 2yrs. They settled on Freeman, only after expecting Fickell to leave UC right before his bowl game. That’s a high level of smugness to expect a HC to leave his program high and dry before their biggest game of the year(that’d the 2nd straight HC they expected that of)

I would say biggest game of the program's history. The funniest part about all of that shit is watching UC fans who are also ND fans (because Catholic) twist themselves into a knot wrestling with do I get mad because my hometown team (and likely alma mater) is getting raped by ND or do I cheer for a team I have little connection to outside being raised Catholic and being a Baby Boomer or old Gen X that has more football history.

Yeah, when Kelly got UC into a NY6 against UF and then left for ND, I watched that game with a bunch of UC alum who's main excuse was they lost because Kelly wasn't there. And I had to remind them that Jesus could've coached UC and they would've been blown out!
After they finally agreed, they then said we'll, at least Kelly went to ND and left UC in a spot where they'd constantly be in the national conversation :roll2:

1. Yes, it was only a few years ago that ole miss went years without a conference win. Ole miss is a job where a 9-3 average might get him a statue. Auburn has no advantages over ole miss in recruiting and a 9-3 average will get you fired within 4 years.
2. You give kiffinwaaaaaay too much credit.
