Coaching changes: coaches hired and fired, comings and goings

This is a bannable post.

Given Meyer's messy exit, I'm not so sure he wouldn't relish the opportunity. Drake may be gone, but the trustees are still around. He wasn't an alum like Fickell and Freeman, and I always felt that his loyalty to OSU was grounded in his loyalty to Earle. According to his Utah contract, he would have been just as happy getting offered ND or tsun at one point.

Would ND approach Urban? I honestly don't know. I think they're as sleazy and hypocritical as they come, but they are obsessed with their holier-than-thou image (like someone else we know), and I think Urban just has too much baggage in the public eye. They'd rather have a coach come in "clean" and then turn a blind eye to whatever he does or whomever he kills.

WOW...That's going to hurt PSU badly. Their defense is a big part of their overall success since 2018.

Kelly has always been a piece of work, even back to his Grand Valley days. I'm honestly surprised he even met with the players.

This is nothing but a money grab. Not sure how LSU is a better school for a coach than ND (as much I cannot stand ND). It will be interesting to watch him in the SEC.

The notion that he has to find players "who can get into Notre Dame" is fucking absurd. Justin Fields had offers from Harvard and Yale with a 29 ACT, which is a point lower than the average freshman.....at Ohio State. The Northwestern quarterback during their unionization campaign said that he would have had zero chance of getting accepted to Northwestern as a normal applicant. When UCLA's Rosen made some comments on the subject, average football SAT scores for the conference were posted online. Stanford's was around 1050 or over 300 points lower than the average freshman......at Ohio State.
