Coaching changes: coaches hired and fired, comings and goings

UCONN now apparently has gone to option 37.....re-hiring Randy Edsall

That's not awkward at all....since, you know....last time he left, he didn't really tell anyone and just ghosted.

But hey....he got a Fiesta Bowl win with them so guy can coach, and better to hire a douche that wins than a nice guy who loses. Just don't be like scUM and hire a douche who loses to his rival every year

Chip Kelly at Cal is going to be interesting.....no way they fire Dykes this late without knowing they are landing Chip. Right across from the bay and he can have success and put it on 49er's face

Jim Mora better step his game up....USC, Stanford, Cal.....hard for all 4 of them to be successful.

Only thing I wonder about is how he'll respond to the, ahem....academic standards he didn't have to deal with at Oregon

Joker Phillips among three new Luke Fickell hires at UC
Dave Clark , [email protected] 10:34 a.m. ET Jan. 11, 2017

Former Kentucky Wildcats head coach Joker Phillips is one of three new coaches on Luke Fickell's staff at the University of Cincinnati, the school announced Wednesday.

Phillips will be Fickell's wide receivers coach. Brady Collins was named director of football sports performance, and Jon Tenuta will coach UC's safeties.

The three join defensive coordinator/linebackers coach Marcus Freeman and special teams coordinator Doug Phillips, announced as assistants last week.

Phillips was the head coach at Kentucky from 2010-12, but it's his second stint with the Bearcats after he coached UC wide receivers in 1997 and defensive backs in 1998.

Phillips spent the 2015 season as the wide receivers coach for the Cleveland Browns. He was an offensive quality control coach at Ohio State this past season.

Collins spent the past two seasons as Ohio State's strength and conditioning coach. Tenuta has coached in college for 35 seasons and was defensive coordinator at Kansas State, Ohio State, North Carolina, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame and Virginia.
