They weren't going to get Jimbo Fisher or Chip Kelly (yes, Kelly was a rumor).
The administration wanted someone with championship pedigree and he has it from two different schools. Smart recruits the hell out of the south and always lands big recruits.
I like the fact that he's been approached by other mid level jobs in the past and turned them down. He was clearly waiting for the right opportunity and was confident enough in his ability to stay put until it came around.
I'm nervous to see how he manages a staff around him and if he can get AD and University leadership to buy into his vision.
