Brandon LaFell leads the team in receiving yards. Terrance Tolivier is only going to get better with a few weeks of practice. LSU is good and deep at receiver. They are big physical receivers too which is probably going to be an issue for Chekwa.

I have heard this being alluded to a few places, and what is with people claiming Chekwa is either small of shys away from contact. Since when is 6'1" 185 small? He is much like Jenkins, in that he is very physical and has a bit of "cockiness" when he takes the field, or so it seems to me. I love Chekwa and feel we will be able to carry on fine with him in there. Hopefully this is a stepping stone for Chekwa to show up and ball his way into a starting position next year.

BTW, if Dorsey is still hurting by the time the game rolls around, we may not even be on defense much with Beanie tearing up the field. It would only be logical to run A LOT with a healthy, beastly Beanie. I do not have faith in Flynn to throw the ball and beat us.

Come on guys this is just a chance for someone else to check in and shine. We are fine at db. If our D line and LBs do there jobs then we will be fine. Our DBs without Washington and Clifford are still better than LSU's. This game is going to come down to protecting Boeckman and giving him time. If we do we win, if we don't we lose. No worries.

NOOOO!!!. If this is true.... Our NC chances just got Hella low. No way can Chekwa be a #2. He has been our only weakness on Defense. If this is true I am going to be so PO'd.

That's going a little overboard. Chimdi was not the only weakness, yes he got burned a couple times ,but overall he's been solid. Even got big ten defensive player of the week after the Purdue game. Michigan domination notwithstanding, the D-line is still the biggest concern in my book.

:smash: WTF????

No way can Chekwa be a #2.

Why the hell not? He's likely the #2 next year any way.......

He has been our only weakness on Defense. If this is true I am going to be so PO'd.

Ask Purdon't how "weak" he is......

Seriously if this were January 6th, that might be an issue. But Tressel has 2 full weeks to get on these guys and get them coached up. I'm not worried.

If the suspension is not related to legal issues and federal privacy laws are preventing the specific details, I'm going to assume ...

that my unfounded speculation will be deleted.

Quoting myself here just so it doesn't get over looked. These stats are off the official site. True, Stats don't always tell the whole story, I get that. But, anyway...

The difference between Washington and Chekwa is 5 Tackles and 61 yards on a pick (which went for 6) Chekwa has more BU and PD... tied on TFLs and Sacks..

"Hella low?"

Hardly.

Edit - and I don't know why I felt it necessary to include Cam's stats. I guess just because he's the guy between CC and DW on the Tackles sorting.

If speculation is correct, it's no more than a traffic ticket under certain circumstances in Columbus.

(Feel free to delete if info is too unverified)
It's out on the pub board (O-zone), so it's fine here. I'd just note that there is still no "official" word on this, though there is a bunch of consistency... so... take that as you will.

Im not sure where the rumblings of Gee stepping in are coming from, but that has not been mentioned once all day in our correspondance.

As far as we know, this was handled within the athletic department.

No arrest, no incidents, nothing violent...

This was a dumb choice...please don't make it into anything else.
