Clifford suspended (Washington OK to play) In Championship

and lsu is still banged up...williams and his knee is swelling after practice and flynn's shoulder is not close to 100 percent...could offset the washington lose

All reports are that Williams will be ready for the game but Flynn is the question mark. If Williams is down, we still have Hester, Scott, Holliday and Murphy. Local beat reports says Flynn's injury is worse than reported.

BTW, if Dorsey is still hurting by the time the game rolls around, we may not even be on defense much with Beanie tearing up the field. It would only be logical to run A LOT with a healthy, beastly Beanie. I do not have faith in Flynn to throw the ball and beat us.

Dorsey says his is almost back and will be 100% for the game. RJF will greatly help let that Tiger loose to filling in for Alexander that when down after VT with ACL.

How is it being reported as being worse than reported?

Trying to process... Head hurts...

Was Chekwa the CB that got into it with Hart early on in The Game this year?

He didn't get into it with Hart. It more the other way around. But I digress because we all know who had the last word.

Big ups to the staff if the suspensions hold up. Nice to see a college coaching staff choose discipline over winning.

I think it's just a matter of short term vs long term thinking. You might lose something in the short term but the program will be better off in the long run if the rules mean something.

Flynn was rumored to have his throwing shoulder worked on after SECCG. He said he would be ready for NCG last week. It was reported on the 6:00 pm news that sources told WAFB, local news, Flynn would not be ready for NCG. It is up in the air right now...

While I'm sad the see this kind of thing happen I am reminded of another scenario (although in a different circumstance), that being when James L. stepped in for an injured Bobby C. against Michigan. The rest was history..........

My point is that if this kind of thing was going to happen, it is best that it happened during the long layoff. Guys step up during the bowl practice, hopefully whoever fills in for Donald W. will do a damn good job.

Quite honestly, I really love the way he plays ball, but I don't think we lose much here..........especially with Amos waiting for his shot. Honestly, I think that he is a better cover corner, and has more athleticism than Donald W (long term).

Having or not having these two isn't the difference between winning or losing the game....but I know what you meant by your post.

No one player (or players) is bigger than the program, is bigger than the OSU football family, bigger than the OSU family. When JT was introduced at halftime of the basketball game the day he accepted the position and uttered the words, "we will be proud of the players on the field, off the field, in the community, and in ....." (we all know what he said at the end :)), I inferred that we would win games (and championships) the right way.

As an alum (twice) from OSU, I am more proud of the teams JT has fielded than at anytime in a long time not only because they are competitive and seemingly in the title hunt each year, but also because it seems that JT is not one to bend his principles to simply win. And for that, I have been quite proud of the team and the staff.

Well said, prof.
