Salazar's young and still figuring things out. Plus, trying to work a curveball into his repertoire. Not too concerned about him. However, if they continue to trot Carrasco out there to get shelled, I might mail some feces to Indians HQ. The bigger concern are our supposed "big bats" Swisher and Santana's inability to reach the Mendoza line. Santana looks like pure dung out there, and the Swisher signing is looking more and more like a mistake.

Salazar so far looks worse than last year. It's not just trying to work a curve, his pitch location has killed him regardless of the pitch . Left one upstairs for Kinsler and walla game over. Our SP is dreadful so far.

Hitting, ya that's just embarrassing. Brantley and Murphy should not be our two best hitters right now. Kipnis hasn't been all too impressive since he got his fat contract. Swish and Santana are at Asdrubal level of shitty hitting.

Still early but so far I've yet to see anything to say we can make the playoffs again.

Didn't get to watch today's game: Is Salazar's velocity still down from last season? I believe the only game that he has consistently tossed much over 95 mph was his first start in AZ. Gotta wonder if his "sore shoulder" is still an issue?

Not really. Plenty of times he was at 94-96 range today at least. He just baffles me, he will have good command and hit the right spots and then all of a sudden it's like he unfolds and leaves a fastball up and gets crushed, or like having been said before hangs a curve bc he is still trying to get that down. He is inconsistently consistent I feel like. He does a good job, gets shaky and then it unfolds so quickly before you know it he has given up 4-5 runs.

Tribe down 3-2 bottle 9. Chiz leads off with a double. Bourn is 1-12 since coming back misses two straight bunt attempts then articles out on limp-dick swing at a pitch in the dirt. Swisher strikes out on 3 pitches. Come on Kip!

Why is Bourne in the majors right now? We should have left him in the minors til he got his bat going a little, Nyjer was far too hot htting to have sent down in favor of Bourne who is clearly not ready to go yet. More unclutch hitting which seems like polar opposites from last year. Brantley though gets a pass bc he is by far our most clutch and really put good wood on that just unlucky.

On a positive note, Masty looked pretty good again. Another sour note, anytime this team ties up a game or takes a lead, we immediately blow the lead or the tie and the momentum, very apparent so far this season...
