Cleveland Indians (official 2012 season)

IF we win tonight we will be 3 back in the central and 3 or 3.5 back in the wild card standings...antonetti has some tough decisions to make...its obvious we arent going far with this lineup and starting rotation

heard pirates fans talking about getting Choo.

i have a bunch of friends who are die hard pirates fans through all the shit they have been through...and they so far have been in on every trade mentioned in major league baseball...so the choo trade rumor wouldnt surprise me, even if i havent heard it from them yet

Fuck them. They've had the Steelers and the Penguins.

i totally agree...my point was they watched every single game for as long as ive known them so they arent bandwagon fans because they have been decent past 2 years

same here, i grew up in the shithole town and now they are all a buzz. Team has some good parts but one inj to the wrong player and the whole team is toast.

If the Indians trade Choo, they better get some damn good players for him. I would almost trade Cabrera before I would trade Choo. I would not trade Brantley, Santana, Kipnis, or Choo. If they trade him, they are giving up not only on this year but also next and this will also hurt attendance with Choo being such a fan favorite.

Agreed, 100%. I wish they would do something, but they will probably just stand pat. The Indians probably won't be able to make many trades though, because their farm system blows from all the poor draft choices. This team is REALLY start to piss me off, though.

At least it will be football season soon.

although it will never happen a player like justin upton would fit in nicely with this team...young, right handed, power hitter with speed...Arizona's GM has said they are not trading him this year but it would be worth inquiring about him...hes not had as good of a year as some people say he should have this year but his potential should override that longterm

Choo is a Boras guy and is a FA after next year, so we only have him for one more season and then he's gone, pretty much for sure. If they are going to be sellers thus year, it would be a good time to maximize their return for him now. If, however, this is their "window" they had best hold on to him, because the team will not be as good next year without him, no matter who they get. It's a tough spot right now.

tigers cannot beat the Indians. thats it. wow. better to be lucky then good.

It's hardly luck when Verlander drinks the stupid juice and starts trying to overthrow fastballs in the 7th when he's gotten out after out with a mixture of breaking pitches for 6 innings. Even in the 7th, he made Lopez look silly with 2 breakers and then threw him an 0-2 fastball, which he laced for a base hit. Verlander had that game won, and he and/or the catcher let them back in.
