Cleveland Indians (official 2012 season)

Is there a fucking mercy rule? Can we send Lowe and Choo out with a case of Stroh's and try and get the umps to end the game after 6? Can Scott Barnes also pitch at Akron tonight since he didn't get anyone out today and his arm really didn't get used?

i see cleveland has started their mid summer swoon early this year.

what's sad is that detroit is under performing so badly that cleveland will trick themselves into thinking they're contenders and they won't be sellers at the trade deadline like they should be.

How this team is even above .500 at this point is amazing, they suck.

There's literally no one else...

True, but with that I'm guessing any of the OFers in AAA could probably manage better than a .176 AVG, i'd say give someone else a chance instead of trotting out an obviously finished over the hill player.

what's sad is the following:

the indians will use the fact that they are in contention to assert that fans should be coming to the ballpark. fans still won't show up. this offseason, the front office will assert that cleveland was in contention and they still couldn't draw dick and therefore, they won't spend in free agency.

however, the fans will look at it and say, instead of picking off the scrap heap for guys like damon, jose lopez and the 25 guys signed to minor league deals, if cleveland would have spent and got one legit guy, they may have won this horse abortion of a division.

and the cycle continues.

They spen money on Sizemore, so he could have a full year and a half to rehab and actually get healthy again and be a badass for someone else next year*

*I don't actually think that's going to happen, but, you know, I have to put my Cleveland fan hat on once in a while.
