if they even think of sending Gomes down when lou marson is healthy i will stop going to games....unless its a playoff game

Well, with those kinds of consequences I'm sure that Shapiro and Antonetti will be checking in with you before they make any future roster moves.....

Speaking of roster moves that should not be made, it looks like Jason Giambi continues to contribute more than his sub-par batting average:

Clubhouse confidential: On a team full of hot wheels, Carlos Santana is a snow plow. He's a catcher who doesn't run real fast, but recently Jason Giambi talked to him about always running as hard as he can to first base because you never know what can happen.
In the ninth inning Monday, the Indians trailed Seattle, 7-6, with two outs. Santana sent a grounder to first that Justin Smoak stopped with a dive. Santana, chugging hard, wasn't close to beating it out, but perhaps closer Tom Wilhelmsen heard him coming because he took his eye off the ball, dropped it, and Jason Kipnis scored the tying run from third.
"Giambi told me to just run hard and put pressure on the defense," said Santana following the Tribe's 10-8 victory in 10 innings. "I think that's what happened."

Tough stretch coming

2 vs Detroit....4 @ Boston and 4 vs the Reds (2 home 2 away)

coming away with a winning record in those 10 would be awesome

As long as there's at least a split with Detroit and then 5-3 in the rest, yeah.

Anything better and I'll be very happy. The key here is to bludgeon lesser teams whenever they have the chance, and limit bad stretches against good ones... we're not gonna wrap this up in June, so, keep at it, and kick some folks when they're down (looking at you Verlander)

Edit:

Also, good stat on the CLC last night... same point last year (and the records were similar, maybe one or a half game ahead)

Run differential:

2012: -17
2013: +37

So, our expected win/loss right now is 25-18 And we're actaully 26-17, so, this isn't an outlier at this point... last year... was.

Now, we are 11-3 in one run games and 5-0 in extra innings. (as compared to Detroit which is 4-6 and 2-4) but, we've done well the last few years in those categories and as much as folks would expect that to even out, I tend to think the bullpen will keep us on the good side of that, even if we shouldn't expect a bunch more Masterson 1-0 wins.

So where's a good place to park by the Jake these days? I usually part at Tower City and walk the tunnel, but with a 3/4 empty stadium it seems like there would be someplace closer that doesn't break the bank.

I usually park down Erie Ct (the brick road across from the Bob Feller statue that runs parallel with the cemetary). You can generally find close/cheap spots along that brick road, or at the very end of the brick road across from it is a good size parking lot. Most of these are $10 parking and it's just a short walk down Erie Ct. and you're right at the ticket window/gate by the Feller statue. Also easy access to E 9th and Prospect which are both routes to get the Rt 2/90.

I like the old Halle garage off Prospect. Rate varies between $5 and $10. Easy out after the game and have the choice of going west to East 9th or east to East 12th/Carnegie/Prospect.

Park at the casino, win money... park for free.

Ok, you might lose some money since it is gambling... so then just play poker for an hour and parking is free.

I would have lost a lot more than the parking fee if I spent an hour at the Casino.

As I was sitting at the largely empty stadium last night I thought up a new ticket promotion for them. Allow anyone that has a ticket to a game that the Indian's win stop at the ticket booth on the way out and trade their winning ticket in for a ticket to the next available home game for free, or to any other home game for half price. They would end up giving away a bunch of free seats if the Tribe keeps winning, but I bet they make more money with asses in seats than with empty seats. People would probably be more willing to buy a ticket to the game if they thought they would actually get to go to several games off of that ticket.

not a bad idea. maybe make it a stand by type of ticket so the Tribe could still sell out future games at full price theoretically.
