Cleveland Indians (2011 Season)

LaBusta optioned to AAA

.234 with just 30 HR .394 SLG % and .694 OPS in 3 years for the "big bat" prospect....sigh

his swing rate at pitches out of the strike zone is terrible, roughly 35%. His BABIP was terrible. If he learned plate discipline at all, he could be a legit hitter.

Yeah, fuck LaBusta. I know he's not gone, but to be optioned out when they are a spasm away from taking fans out of the stands tells you how fucking worthless he is at this point.

Anyway, Hannahan has been on fire lately...Tribe up 6-1 in the 7th. Nice outing from Gomez.

I don't understand why they didn't let Gomez out for the seventh inning. They had a 6-1 lead and I believe that he had retired the side in both the 5th and 6th innings. It would have been nice to see if he could have gone seven. With a five-run lead, they could have always gotten him out in time if he started blowing up. It just would have been nice to see if he could go 7 innings.

Labusta will be gone for 10 days unless they put someone on the DL. Maybe they could train him to be a catcher or something because he certainly isn't a very good right-handed hitting first baseman.
