Cleveland Indians (2011 Season)

Hafner makes 2 outs in a five-run inning... nice:bonk: and why is that guy from Colorado still on the mound for Cleveland.
Hafner is a total liability right now. Might as well shut him down because his season ended six weeks ago. Let Duncan DH from here on out...

Jiminez is still on the mound because the bullpen is gassed. No other choice, really.

3.1 IP, 8 ER with the guy on first belonging to Jiminez. An absolutely abysmal start. Just fucking terrible and unacceptable from a guy that is supposedly a frontliner. Awful. Fucking awful. Inexcusable.
We just have to hope it's something mechanical. The guy has ability. He was unhittable for a good chunk of 2010, and was a pretty solid pitcher prior to that. His road splits this year were good too with an ERA right around 3.00, it's just baffling that he's been as terrible as he has...

I knew I didn't like that trade. However, the Indians believe that he just has "mechanical issues" :bonk:

next year

Rockies left-handed prospect Drew Pomeranz underwent an emergency appendectomy Saturday evening.

He's very likely out for the season. Pomeranz, the prize acquired from the Indians in the Ubaldo Jimenez deal, would finish this season 4-3 with a 1.84 ERA over 19 starts covering 98 innings between High-A and Double-A. The 2010 first-round pick has all the makings of a future ace but will probably have to wait until next season to continue his development.

.
Duncan had to leave team yesterday for family reasons:(anybody want to bring back Kearns ... I didn't think so:)
Roster move: Shelley Duncan, recalled Friday, was placed on the Family Medical Emergency List before Friday's game and left the team. Ezequiel Carrera, optioned to Columbus on Saturday, replaced him.

By the way Indians, how is that hitting coach working out for you. Should have kept big Joe. The average has gone down since the Fields took over and if you don't believe me look up the stats.

his appendix is not related to his arm. he will be ready to go next year when the Indians probably would have wanted to use him anyway.

so does anyone still think the Ubaldo trade was good?

I said it from the beginning....guy has sucked total balls since the AS break last year and has showed no signs of a consistent turnaround

basically gave up 2 potential studs for a guy whos going to ride a mid 4s ERA

your a retard if you judge this or any trade after 4 starts...along with the fact that alex white or pomeranz haven't even made their debut yet for the rockies at the pro level...ubaldo has had 3 terrible outings, all on the road, and 1 good start in cleveland....you can be quick to judge and say yes this trade is fucking terrible...something you obviously have already done...i will wait and see before i write this trade off....ubaldo may suck dick the rest of this year...that is a very real possibility...but there is no doubt he has the potential to come back strong the following year

Considering the supreme talent of the Indians, it is a pretty tall order to beat them over the course of the season. They're basically an all-star team. I'd brag if my team beat a team with no clear weakness like this Tribe team.
