Jesus Christ...that trade is beginning to look awfully foolish.BearBuck27;1972875; said:Jiminez getting shelled. 5-0 Detroit in the bottom of the third.
I knew I didn't like that trade. However, the Indians believe that he just has "mechanical issues"NFBuck;1972881; said:Thank God football is here. Thanks for a fun six weeks Indians, and by virtue of a trash division, another 2.5 months of pretend contention.
I was pretty skeptical of the Ubusto trade when it happened, but my God. Yeah, he had the good start against detroit last time, but his other three have been disasters. It's like watching a skinny Carmona coming apart at the seams out there. I fear we have to hope that White/Pomeranz don't develop to avoid this trade being a total ass raping. Red flags all around the guy, and they did it anyway. In a way, I like what the trade symbolizes...that they're not afraid to make a splash, but I fear they didn't do their due diligence and traded a phenominal pitching prospect for damaged goods. :ohwell:
next yearDrew Pomeranz threw seven scoreless innings (retiring 19 batters in a row) in his first Class AA start for the Rockies on Wednesday. The next night at Class AAA Tulsa (Okla.), Alex White threw 7 scoreless innings. White is expected to soon be in Colorado's rotation. As for Jimenez, the Indians believe there are some mechanical issues in his windup that can be fixed, and they believe he is very open to suggestions.
