this is exactly what i thought when i saw the replay...he was looking down at third for god knows what reason instead of putting his head down and trying to beat out the throw...the CC trade is looking better and better by the day

Eh, that uber-stocked Brewers farm system everybody was sucking off in 2008 isn't looking all that hot now. The big guys, IIRC, that they didn't want to give up (Alcides Escobar/Gamel) are both failing to live up to their promise as well.

Can't blame the FO much. They needed to move him and, at the time, the Brewers offered up the most. At least it looks like Brantley will be a serviceable to above average player and Branson down the road a little might be pretty good. It's not like Milwaukee won out on that. C.C. walked and they got ran out of the postseason in the first round.
