Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I like the latest moves
We needed help at center - got it
We needed scoring off the bench - got it
We needed defense in that starting 5 - got it
We needed to do something about the fact Dion just didn't fit and seemed to be a problem child who couldn't defend a goal post - done
Future addl draft picks weren't part of the integral future plan - done
We need the future flexibility that will come with Haywood contract - still there
We need to figure out the Thompson issue - TBD

and we're doing this in January when it doesn't matter
cuz the only thing that matters is having it figured out by May
Problem is if they finish in the bottom 4 of the playoff spots in the East, they will have to win 3 series in a better team's gym...just to get to the finals. So they had better figure it out long before that.

Fuck Kevin Love. Top-10 player, my ass. This team sucks out loud right now.
I keep watching this and am getting the strange feeling that Love was supposed to be a superstar on a crappy team...yet with LBJ out, it seems like Kyrie versus the world...just like last year. So I don't know that he even makes a LBJ-less mediocre version of the Cavs any better either.

Love would've been worth Dion and Bennett, had the Cavs used their bargaining power to their advantage (Minnesota was losing Love at the end of the season one way or another). Instead, the Cavs front office panicked, like the amateurs they are, and overpaid. Now, he will leave at the end of the year, and the Cavs will have lost out on multiple years of Wiggins for a one-year rental of Love. Pathetic.

Well they've done one thing I've been wanting since LeBron came and got rid of Waiters, now if Shumpert can heal or Love/Kyrie stop playing the basketball eqivalent to Gus Malzahn ball (what's that thing called when you don't have the ball?

I agree. I think if Love can find some kind of role on this team, they'll be in good shape. He definitely needs to become more of a factor in the post on offense, and maybe a part of the pick and roll game. Also desperately need some semblance of defense from him.

Nice showing the last two games. JR Smith has absolutely been on fire since arriving and I like Mosgav in the post. Looks like everything meshed well, we had good ball movement, and really good energy. The team that showed up tonight can beat anyone with regularity.
