Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I don't even know what to say at his point...LeBron is a deteriorating locker room problem, Love is a total flop on a team with other talent, Andy is hurt...again...possibly for good...the dinosaurs are zero help off the bench, the coach is clueless on how to use matchups or a rotation, we have D league guys playing bench minutes, and the two guys not playing terrible are the one many thought was overrated (Irving) and the guy actually putting in some work (Waiters)...who they have now decided to trade for a guy who can't play with a lick of sense or purpose. Oh, and we just lost to an expansion team and will soon be below .500.

This shit will be the all-time poster child of Cleveland being Cleveland.

I was one of those against dealing Wiggins as well, but once it went down, I figured might as well give it a shot. Well, surprise! Love sucks yeti cock on this team.

There were quite a few of us on this board who were against the Wiggins/Love trade. I'm not giving up yet, but the early returns are definitely in favor of the Keep Wiggins camp.

As for the Waiters trade, if nothing else, this gives the Cavs more depth, which is really needed at this point. We need a catch and shoot guy instead of a Waiters style player, but I don't know much about JR Smith. How is he in the catch and shoot role?

Now we just need more depth down low.

It's tough to watch. How much is it this coach coming from overseas ball to NBA ball?

From where I sit, the HC is going through a transition in the NBA. I do not think he has all the parts needed to compete effectively especially when KI and Lebron has been hurt; Kevin Love and Dion Waiters have been inconsistent; AV going down injured; and no depth at Center.

Chemistry IS a big issue with this team and I think the trade will make the Cavs better than they were. JR is a very good catch and shoot guy and Shumpert is a very good wing defender who can score. The two added is better than Dion. I'm OK with this trade as long as JR keeps his head out of his ass.

While I accept the Love/Wiggins and Bennett trade, I did not like the trade at all. While going through some growing pains, Wiggins game would have steadily improved as the season went along on the offensive side of the ball. His defense at four different positions would take some of the tough defensive assignments off of LeBron. In addition to keeping those two, the Cavs could have been more focused on getting a Center. Love takes away that flexability

So here's the thing... I remember Lebron saying something in his "i'm coming home email" about being patient and realizing it takes going to take some time.... Clearly Lebron is two faced, saying one thing to the public and another in private because every move they've made is to try to win in the first 2 years...

Yes its still early but Blatt is not going anywhere because they are still paying Mike Brown tons.... Love looks like what some of feared he was a soft player who put up good numbers on a bad team... and Lebron now seems to be "over the hill" and on the descend... just waiting for the inevitable Irving injury to complete the trifecta

I've gone back to about June and read some of the pages regarding the Love trade. I'd like to bitch slap a lot of people right now with a big fat fucking "I told you so."

Agreed. Not gonna name names, but it would be interesting to hear what those people have to say now (and I don't necessarily mean out of spite, but rather if they still think Love can be what they thought he was in the summer, for example, I recall a lot of "top 5 player in the NBA" nonsense).

The Cavs have done close to nothing to incorporate Love in the offense, but wow is he bad defensively. He's more inept than the kid on your youth soccer team who used to sit in the middle of the field and eat grass.
And this is the difference between the Cavs and the Heat. Bosh, while somewhat marginalized offensively next to Wade and LeBald, at least contributed defensively. Love is a non-factor defensively. If they want to win a title with LeBald/Kyrie/Love, they NEED a rim protector. Love is actually worse defensively than I thought, and I already expected him to be bad. At least adding Shumpert helps the perimeter defense in the short-term, but I doubt he's back next year.
