Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

It figures, as soon as I write the Cavs off, they go out and win four in a row for the first time in four years.

The firing of Chris Grant certainly shook things up. But here's the question: Are the Cavs playing great because: (a) they want to win; (b) they are playing for their jobs; (c) they are trying to showcase their talents for a possible trade; or (d) it's just a fluke and they'll still end up in the draft lottery.

As I may have mentioned before, I'm a life long Cleveland fan, and I've never been so disappointed by a team's performance. Never has a team fallen so short of my pre-season expectations. It may be too late for them to make the playoffs even in the weak East.

They should practice tanking this season with great zeal and unbridled passion. As my first tank move, I'd have Kyrie in a full body cast due to some freak undisclosed injury sustained at the All-Star game. He'd look like frozen Han Solo on the sidelines.

I'd also make Waiters play 40 minutes and feature him like crazy for a trade.

They are 3 games back of the 8th seed and have 29 games left...they could be the 8 seed by next Friday

I don't understand everyone's notion to trade Kyrie or Dion. Why not let them play out the 2nd half of the season together and try and build around that? I mean they are 20/21 year olds who are still learning to play the game of basketball. If Mike Brown lets them play run/gun on offense and continues to instill some defense this could be a really fun team to watch.

Clearly this increased effort is due to the porn star effect

On the radio the day they played the first game of this streak, they played a clip of some porn star chick who is apparently a big Cavs fan, and she said "If they make the playoffs I'll b*ow the whole team and I'll bring a girlfriend". They've been attributing the winning streak top that

Motivation people, motivation.

now i gotta go do research on this. back in a few with pics i hope

Have to figure the interim GM is going to make some type of move...hard to take a resume to the owner after the season and say "I kept the team we had". They were talking Gausol this morning on the radio, but a guy like Terry would make more sense.

Im not a fan of Gasol at this point...guy is still a beast when healthy, but that is the key word...healthy...and would he have the desire to actually play hard here in cleveland...Also you have to figure out how you are going to sign him and Deng in the offseason which is not happening

Really Terry only makes more sense than Jack in the sense that Jack has 2 more contract after Terry's contract expires after next season. The annual salary difference is ~$500K so not a huge savings next next year. Jack was a mistake signing to begin with. He needs the right situation to work with. Cleveland was one of few teams to not realize this. Terry is washed up.

(I'm a Thunder fan, but I love the NBA).
