Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

thunder are having their own problems right now. that being said, there is zero reason they should lose to the cavs.

And...they didn't. Road trip shows the team still doesn't have enough pieces yet, but the win in LA does give fans reason for optimism.

Andy had 35 pts? That tells me two things. The Nets front court sucks and the Cavs need to trade Andy now. Do the Net's still have any of their 1st round picks? Maybe they want him since he is obviously better than what they have.

kyrie out 4 weeks with fractured finger...the lottery at this point is 100%

at 2-8 the lottery was a 100% certainty anyway. this just gives an excuse to really drive the tank without being as brazen about it as they were last year. what it really accomplishes is that it gets the cavs in the top 5 without having to deal AV.

i would like to see Grant get more aggressive to trade AV well ahead of the trade deadline for 2 reasons...1, he is injury prone and 2, we could get another young center in a trade to develop with kyrie when he returns...him and AV were rolling before the injury and i think it could work well with another athletic center...2 names i like are McGee and Deandre Jordan...both are 24 and both could be available for AV...McGee has issues but i like the talent and his upside if given starters minutes...he hasnt dicked around like he did in washington and he would be a great peice next to zeller...deandre jordan i like all around better but im not sure how reluctant the clippers would be to trade him, and make another trade with us...doubt any of that happens but we can only hope that grant decides to trade sooner then later because AV will be a gamble to stay healthy all the way into February when the trade deadline ends...it would be awesome as well if kyrie had the genes of kobe bryant...did he have a fracture on his SHOOTING finger and still didnt miss a game? Kyries is even on his left hand...fuck

It probably also depends on the type of fracture, but if what Kyrie has is the same as what Kobe had sitting him out might be more to insure the tank than to protect his finger. There really isn't a point of playing him injured right now. I do worry that Kyrie has seemed a little fragile so far in his career. Hopefully his injuries are more of the Cavs taking it easy on him rather than something that will derail his career.

I agree that they should trade Andy now while he is healthy and putting up big numbers. He really needs to go someplace that has at least one good big that he can play off of and be limited to 25-30 minutes a game. He seems to be more at risk of injury when he is averaging 30+ minutes like he is now.

So is Waiters going to see more PG minutes now or will Sloan move into the starting lineup?

the problem is that AV does and will always have more value to cleveland than he does to any other team. teams that would want him for trade purposes will not be lottery teams, making their draft picks of little value. any young talent they do have will be unattainable in a trade.

now, if you looked at something like AV for Deandre Jordan, Eric Bledsoe, and a lottery protected pick, that's a good deal for both sides. Bledsoe becomes cleveland's 6th man immediately, and can even run the point with kyrie as the off guard in certain lineups. deandre jordan can play the same role AV did, and is possibly a better paint defender.

maybe OKC would be willing to part with that toronto raptors pick and some guys for AV, but the cavs would likely have to take on the corpse of kendrick perkins.

javale mcgee is hot garbage. keep him away from cleveland.
