Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

The nba is full of a bunch of morons with too much damn money. $16M per??? Cripes.
Noah making $18 mil per in NY, Whiteside making what is expected to be $20-25 mil, Howard wants $24 mil, and I would expect him to reach a deal in the neighborhood of $17-20 mil. The cap this year is ridiculous, and it only gets crazier next year.

Tom Penn was on Mike & Mike this morning and made a great point. Apparently, the NBA also has a cap floor of approx. $85 mil. The teams don't spend that much, and the remaining cap is split among current roster players. Teams are literally being forced to sign these players to absolutely stupid numbers.

Nicolas fucking Batum is inking a 5 yr, $120 mil deal... Nicolas. Fucking. Batum.

Batum's deal may actually be the best one (from the team's standpoint) yet. At least he's decent.

The real question is what the fuck are the Knicks and Lakers doing? The Knicks are going to roll out Derrick Rose, Eric Gordon, Carmelo Anthony, Kristaps Porzingis, and Joakim Noah. Four of those five players are years past their prime. We saw how that worked out in Brooklyn a few years ago.

actually it makes sense.. some of the premier orthopedic hospitals in the country are in NYC

MY QUESTION... how high does the bidding go for Dellavedova? looks like those outrageous forecasts of $10M may come about.. so at $10M, Cavs may cut him loose

14.9 PPG, 6 A, 6 REB doesn't warrant a max contract, IMO. That's just what he did last season. He's a career 11.7 PPG, 3.4 A, 5.2 REB player. I just don't see it.

batum has been on a steady decline for like 4 years now. that is a gross overpay for what was otherwise a mediocre player.
