Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I don't feel sorry for Curry one bit.. but I have zero doubt.. Curry's body is a mess... ankle, knee, elbow plus overall body cuz every time he goes thru the middle... everyone that can remotely take a shot at him does... and that body is not made for punishment...

so with total empathy, I say.. fuck him and you too Klay

wish we still had Heywood so he could punch donkey face Green in the nose too
I can get behind the hate Curry and Green train. Both are unlikable (for different reasons). Klay is good in my book though.

Thoughts on Love assuming he's good to go tomorrow? I would have him at the 5 when Bogut is in the game and LeBron at the 4 to cover Green. And on the bench when Green is at the 5 to have LeBron at the 5. So just guessing that could come out to about 24 minutes per game?

Obviously that would take Tristan Thompson out of the gameplan other than a few minutes. So if Thompson is valued more this series, then that would put Love at a few minutes instead.

But Klay making remarks about any intentional motive on Moz pick bugs me.. that's as clean as it gets.. especially just inside the top of the key
He picks up Irving at halfcourt.. Kyrie drives to the hoop (duh) and a backpeddalling Klay doesn't expect a screen !?!?!? or did Klay hope the pick would be set by a 5'2" guard

Keep in mind, the last time these two teams played at Cleveland four and a half months ago, GS won by 34 points and led by as many as 40. Curry had 35 points that game, which is the only great game he's had against the Cavs this season. His other games this season against the Cavs:

6-15 FG, 19 pts (home, regular season)
4-15 FG, 11 pts (Game 1)
7-11 FG, 18 pts (Game 2)
6-13 FG, 19 pts (Game 3)

That's 23 for 54 shooting (42.6%) and 16.8 ppg.

Klay Thompson has be even worse in the Finals:

4-12 FG, 9 pts (Game 1)
6-13 FG, 17 pts (Game 2)
4-13 FG, 10 pts (Game 3)

That's 14 for 38 shooting (36.8%) and exactly 12 ppg.

Between the two in the Finals, they're shooting 31 for 77 overall (40.3%) for exactly 14 ppg each.

Start Jefferson. Bring in Love as part of the second unit with Frye, Shumpert, Delly, and LeBron. Golden State will have a tough time covering both Love and Frye on the outside - one (or both) of them should get some open looks from three.

I rarely watch the NBA, but have followed this thread throughout the playoffs and noted the biased officiating/stop whining conversation. Last night while packing for a fishing trip I watched the 2nd half. The Cavs took possession on their defensive end (I don't remember if it was a turnover or a rebound). LBJ was running down the left side of the court, Curry was in the middle of the court. Curry ran over to the left side, ran into LeBron, their arms got tangled, and Curry flopped. Foul on LeBron. I understand refs don't see everything, but those were by far the 2 biggest stars on the court. How they did not see Curry initiate the contact is beyond me, other than he is smaller so the foul couldn't have been on him. I am not a fan of either team, but that call was atrocious.

Ugh, that one was terrible. I have been looking for a gif of that ridiculous move all day.

Edit: here it is.

Never a doubt in my mind that Jefferson should start tonight. Good to have Love available, but to go away from what worked because of a guy's name/contract would be idiotic. The Cavs second unit could use a boost. Love has a chance to provide it.
