Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Kevin Love is best as a volume scorer who can rebound on a crappy team. I thought he was overrated when they made the trade, I thought he was overrated last season, and I think he's overrated now. The guy is fucking 6'10 and struggles to shoot 40% most nights. He reminds me of a tall Larry Hughes. They should move him this off season before his trade value goes in the gutter.

I think Love needs to get shots before he can get into a rhythm.
If he doesn't get shots he loses his confidence which is why they start each game force feeding him possessions.
That is part of a problem with being on a great team with two other ball dominate players like Lebron and Kyrie, touches are limited.
When Frye shoots, its like he's on automatic pilot. Love seems to overthink his shots.

I agree, him struggling on a great team and missing wide open shots, has hurt his value.
So I don't expect us to get another max star player in return for him.
But there are a plethora of players I would gladly take in trade who aren't superstars of the league.
Thompson seems good enough to start the PF spot so we could even go for a SG..
I personally would prefer to go after someone younger to pair with Kyrie.

Cavs have been in LA for a couple days. It is a 12:30 tip local, after losing an hour with DST (so effectively an 11:30am game). And Tristan Thompson's birthday is today.

Basically, all the elements for a JR #HennyGame. It's gonna be brutal vs. Clips today.

Just another drive-by "Kevin Love fucking sucks" post. 4-11 from the field, 2-7 from three. He was hardly the worst offender last night, but as I said a few days ago, the guy is fucking 6'10 and struggles to shoot 40% most nights. I don't even like this team...they have no identity, half the time they look like they're just running around without any real purpose out there. Hmmm, maybe firing a guy that got an injury ravaged team to the Finals in his first season while he had a .700+ winning percentage wasn't such a good idea? GS is a juggernaut, San Antonio looks stronger than ever, and these clowns look disengaged and disinterested half the time. A little late in the year for that if you want to be a serious contender. I had my doubts about them ever getting a title when LeBald signed back on, now I honestly feel like it is barely even possible. Cleveland gonna Cleveland...

I'm about ready to start the "Tristan Thompson sucks" posts. The guy makes $16M a season to disappear every other night. Last night...20 minutes, 3 reb, 2 pts on 1??? shot...a +/- of -10...

$16M/yr...

You could tell me that "hey, it's hard for everyone to fill out the sheet with LeBron and Kyrie and Love and blah blah blah..."

Then why did the Cavs need to pay him again?

As for the bolded...not winning a title is a certainty. This is Cleveland, and for anyone not paying attention, that's a stone cold lock.

This will sound weird, but TTs performance is a problem, but I don't think he's the problem. I actually feel the same about KL somewhat. This team just has no idea how to play with each other or what each other are doing. When TT in the playoffs was "get ball. Pass to Lebron or Delly" he was a beast. They just have no clue.

One of my issues is he sees the floor only 20 minutes last night. He can rebound, no question. His rebounds per minute is usually pretty high. You're paying him $16M and he plays 40% of the game. Against the Clippers, he plays 26 minutes. You shouldn't be paying a guy who only plays half the game, $16M. Now, against the Lakers, 36 minutes. That's more of where he should be. So the issue is, they aren't using him enough, don't know how to use him, or shouldn't have paid him so much. But there is an issue somewhere.
