It's time, Lebron

Btw, just because I can't turn away from this trainwreck. I understand there is a "coaching fraternity" where guys stick up for each other but still, when you hear the respect out of his peers, you realize the guy does have skills.

(The Brad Stevens one especially because I am a Stevens' apologist. Dude is the such a good coach and person)

Honestly, correct move for the franchise. I like Blatt a lot and want to be pissed but it just seemed he could never get Lebald's respect. I think he will still be a solid coach in the league but if we are being honest Lue knows the NBA game way better than Blatt at his point and is much more respected in the locker room. This is David Griffin saying Blatt ain't my guy, Lue is.

I took a basketball coaching class at ohio state under a former assistant to bobby knight and coach k by the name of Peter Gaudet. Brilliant basketball mind, was with coach k when he won the two titles in the early 90's. But as he said coaches are hired to be fired and for whatever reason basketball, especially nba seem to be the most fickle with firing coaches. Let's see how the team repsonds before rushing to judgment here.

I think Lue will have a much better grasp on rotations and minutes and be able to put a better team out there than what Blatt was able to do. I'm curious to see how this plays out, but Lue was ready last year to be a head coach when we made him one of the highest paid assistant coaches in the league. Either way it comes down to this team gelling again, offensively and defensively, they are not there at a championship caliber but have the
potential to be by the end of the year.

I hate to see Blatt go, but he never really had a chance given the job he signed up for and the job he ended up getting. I think he'll end up being a good NBA coach on a young team that will listen to him. Wouldn't be surprised to see him go be Kerr's top assistant next year after Walton takes a head gig. Hopefully Lue does a better jobs with rotations since that was always my biggest complaint against Blatt. This would be a good time to start getting Mo some minutes. It seemed nobody was happy with the rotations and Blatt didn't seem to know how to use a deep bench. He was best at the end of playoffs last year when he had no depth to work with.

I can't help but get stuck on the double or triple standard involved in all of this. The way the country looks at everything today and not a single person has yelled out racism in this decision. Hmmmm.

Now, my personal opinion is it's just a power play without any other underlying motives but it is interesting that the people that they wanted were Mark Jackson and now settle on Lue, both black. Not a peep anywhere.

Blatt is going to catch on somewhere else and win a shit ton of games and there are many people who believe that very thing. I hope Lebron figures out that if they don't win he'll forever be the Cleveland scapegoat not the savior. Get it done on the court and quit whining about your fucking feelings! Suck it up and play with the team as a player, not try to be the damn shot caller all of the time.

Done ranting. For now

Once James' camp realized that Jackson would never be considered as coach – nor would Lue leave his representation to join Klutch Sports agency, despite overtures – Lue became a compromise choice for James' group, sources said. They started pushing for Lue to replace Blatt last season, and grew louder in those calls in recent days and weeks.

If Paul's(James) agency has this much control, no wonder Thompson got the contract that he did.
