At least the Cavs can take heart that the Warriors are killing everyone right now. Any word if Pop got fired yet? Hopefully they all get shooters elbow before the Finals. As long as the Cavs can take care of the East they will get to see if Pop can come up with anything to slow down the Warriors in the conference finals.

I like that they are trying to get the ball up the floor faster, but it seems like there are going to be some significant growing pains with the faster style. They were forcing some bad shots when the extra pass was needed and they still seemed cold. Defense took a big step back all game. When the game got tight in the 4th they still slowed down and went back to the iso with no movement. With as much depth as the Cavs have and Lue repeatedly saying they are getting tired I don't know why they don't sub more. Mo played 5 minutes in the first half, RJ hasn't played since Lue took over, and Champ didn't play at all last night. They tried Mo with Kyrie last night which was a colossal failure on defense (as expected) although it looked like both guys were giving effort. My thoughts on the normal minutes breakdown would looks something like below although it has to be pretty fluid with the Cavs depending what kind of team they are playing. i.e. If they are playing a team with a true center Timo starts and they go smaller when the other center is out of the game. They have at least a handful of small lineups that will work as long as they have at least 3 good defenders on the floor at all times.

Good tune up for the Cavs last night. We'll see if they can carry it over to the Pistons/Spurs back to back this weekend. Going to have to find a way to push the ball and play good D for a whole game. Kyrie still not right.

I think the only way Kyrie could slow down Tony Parker at this point is to suck his dick and hope he gets sleepy.

Or play well enough to make Parker driving not matter. Lebron took over the 3rd and Kyrie the 4th so far. Second game of the season with Lebron, Kyrie, and Love over 20 pts. Last night was the first. Hopefully this offensive production is Lue changes and not just a hot streak. The faster pace seems to help and should continue to get better as it really sinks in. They still don't push the ball as much as they could.

On the one hand I don't know that I would want the Cavs to play the Pacers in the first round of the playoffs since they seem like a tough matchup, but it might be good to to play more small ball teams to prepare the Cavs for the Warriors. The Pacers might have just had a couple guys play over their head last night and future games will be easier. I guess we'll find out at the end of the month in Cleveland. A playoff run of Pacers, Hawks, and Raptors might be the best prep for the Cavs. At least the games probably wouldn't get thugged up like they would with the Celtics or Bulls.

But as you saw last night, Pacers are allowed to get away with murder when playing in Indiana.

It's like playing the Patriots in Foxborough.

Better than Jeremy Lin playing like gay Steph Curry.

Well, once they get the new offense all sorted out, they'll need to get back to D. Really, the Curry thing is a good reminder, and Lin, if you just give him look after look, is gonna do exactly what he did last night.
