Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Can't score in the teens in two different quarters in an elimination game and expect to win. A fair showing for what they had.

Get Love back and hope Kyrie doesn't get hurt walking down the street and they should be right back in there next year.

Only thing I'm saying for the rest of this year is that if Irving and Love play this series it's easily a 4-0 sweep and we're talking dynasty. Now we have to stomach the west coast horse[Mark May] for who knows how long.

Fuck those clowns. Like mentioned earlier, the moment the Lakers are remotely good again, half of that fan base won't be there. Like all California sports.

Meh, used to it.

No. Fuck this. Fuck your goat gifs... And fuck the rest of you self pitying Cleveland fans. This wasn't the drive... The fumble or José choke job mesa. These guys were outnumbered and out gunned and shouldn't have gotten past the bulls. Fuck you... Very much.

I am not a Cave fan. I was rooting for them this year, however. Casually, anyway.

All that aside, if they keep this team intact (as well as major injury free), and I have zero knowledge as to the possibility, they may win 70 games next year. They know what they're made of. There's a ton of grit and grime here, in the best possible way. If Kyrie and Love fully recover, they may sweep their way to the title next year.

In the final three games, Smith, Shumpert, and Delly were a combined 23 of 92 (.250) from the field and 15 for 59 (.254) from three-point range. That was the difference in the series.

With Irving and Love both healthy, Cavs win in four.

There ya go. Seriously, this explains everything you need to know. I did my best to avoid being the Negative Nancy but when explaining that you cannot expect role players to replace NBA All-Stars, somehow all of my friends doubted me. For whatever reason, everyone thought Delly was somehow the savior of our team, despite all evidence against that in the regular season and most of the playoffs. I of course wanted that but it just was not realistic.

Seriously? They are missing two of their three best players. Cavs fans didn't think you were going to get that from Delle the entire series did you? JR is JR and Shumpert and Tristen are merely role players. They had a great season, just ran into a better team.

And there ya go again. How can I even be upset after Love and Kyrie go down? Sure, I wanted to believe. But you cannot expect 2 of the best 3 NBA players to go down and expect a championship. But then again, if Blatt listens to me and puts in the best 3rd stringer ever in Cardale Jones, maybe we are playing Game 7. In all seriousness though, how the fuck do we finally have a championship team and only watch them lose due to injury?

My worry is this: Love is all but gone...sure it will free up cap room but who will we bring in instead? This is exactly why I was pissed to give up Wiggins. He is going to be a star and would have cost less over the next 2 years, Love is all but gone, and what do we have to show for it? Another year without a championship. Plus no Wiggins. Plus no Love next year. We sold our soul for one year and it did not work.

I will give you that I do not know NBA all that well. And I will also give you that I do not know Cleveland sports all that well. But I have learned this phrase as part of my own blood in Ohio professional sports...what about next year?

Will be a very interesting offseason for the Cavs... Jones/Miller/Marion/Perkins should all be gone. Haywood is hopefully traded but for what I don't know... Hopefully they don't over pay to keep Thompson. Not sure Andy's status. Delly... just not sure what you do there... I think Love will be back this year but if they don't win it all he'll be gone to LA.

Not really sure who they go after. They need to get younger and get shooters and get people on the cheap.

Edit: Blatt... not sure what Lebron will do here.. my gut says he's gone
