Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

^ Bottom right below. Bulls just muddy the game up. Fuck the Eastern Conference- all do the same stuff in the name of "physical" play but it's just garbage (Bulls, Celtics, Pacers).

Anyway, this picture is great, See Defense? Witness greatness. Suck it Chicago.

Met some new friends who just moved into my area from Cleveland and man was that fun to watch with them. My thoughts: Blatt did his best to try and lose the game towards the end. Calling timeout after a clean inbound to JR, calling our last timeout, and the almost technical for calling a TO we didn't have. I have pretty much been on board with Blatt this season and think he is overall a good coach but that was so poorly managed...that is aside from him thinking Dellavedova is the 2nd coming when I don't even see him being a role player. But JR continues to be hot and LeBron is just being an absolute champion for us, so excited to see the passion and the production together.

If Kyrie gets healthy, I feel good here.

Man, the doom and gloom in this thread...

I know everybody has been pessimistic because of the name on the front of the shirt, but the Bulls were the ones in trouble even before what happened in today's game. When you need a bank shot to win a game at home against a team that's getting nothing from its stars, you're not in good shape.

I think the doom&gloom is due to injuries. With a healthy Kyrie this is a 5game series. With Love it woldve been a sweep w/o needing 40 from anyone.
But 2 thug tems in a row has just been brutal.

:slappy: Dude, I mean, some of us are, of course, intentionally over the top at times...but let's review:

Love is out, Kyrie is hurt, Shumpert is hurt, JR was at least hobbled, they blew a big lead, were playing like mooseshit, the Bulls were getting all the calls, and LeBron was crumpled in a heap on the floor when he wasn't tossing up bricks all over the court. And that was all before the Assistant Coach had to TACKLE the head coach to keep him from Webbering because he drew up not one, but 2 in-bounds plays that didn't work. Now this all happened in a span of about a quarter and a half. I mean, I get that its cool to bust on Cleveland fans...but when exactly SHOULD people start to worry?

I don't know why everybody gives him a hard time for the supposed "bad" inbounds plays. The most important part of an inbounds play is actually inbounding the ball. Why not put it in your best player's hands to inbound it?

I think the Cavs need to seriously consider resting Irving once they're done with Chicago. You play Smith-Shumpert-LeBron-Thompson-Mosgov, or Delly-Smith-Shumpert-LeBron-Thompson and let Kyrie heal up. This is an especially good matchup if we get the Wizards. With or without John Wall, Smith would have no trouble guarding Ramon Sessions or one armed John Wall. You put Shumpert on Beal and shut him down, and then their entire offense is reliant on Pierce, who is defended by LeBron. You have no depth with that lineup, and are likely forced to play Perkins, Jones, and Miller, but Washington and Atlanta aren't nearly as good as Chicago is.

Kyrie at 70% for a potential Finals matchup would mean more to us than him hobbling around in Atlanta or DC ever could. I think it's a no brainer, yet I would be shocked to see them do it. LeBron mentioned that the defense has to account for Kyrie still, but his three point shooting has suffered, and he can't get off the ground. At least Shumpert and Delly can drive to the basket at full speed and kick it out. Not to mention the nightmare Kyrie is on defense right now.

I think that Blatt is taking way too much heat in this thread for the 3 timeouts that Jones called trying to inbounds the ball and Jones called those timeouts not Blatt. A coach can can draw up a play but it is up to the players to execute and it looked like nobody even wanted to catch the inbounds pass.

Also, a couple guys have hit Delly a couple times for not being a very good basketball player. In this series, he has worked his ass off on defense and had a few big treys that has kept us in some of the games against Chicago. He might not be the greatest PG but I would never fault the guy for lack of effort or even his poor play because he has not played that bad against Chicago.

I do not know what Blatt was thinking when he tried to call that last timeout but I guess that is why you have assistant coaches because all head coaches have periodic brain farts. Maybe he thought it was still over in Europe or something. At least he picks up the bill when he goes out to dinner:wink:

You start to worry when a Cleveland team looks like it's actually gonna win something, because it is undoubtedly the fucking end times.
