Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

i just want there to be a total diffusing of jeremy lin for ROY chatter, which immediately sprung up. the way lin turns the ball over and can't defend to save himself, irving could have a big night.

the good thing is that you might see a lot of TT at the 5 tonight. personally, i'd love to watch him on amare most of the night.

i've also come to the conclusion on two things: 1. Gee is much more comfortable at the 3 spot off the bench. it suits him quite well. 2. the cavs need to address the SG spot in the worst way. AP is done. Gibson is a bench player at best.

He's not illegible... if you look at his stat sheet he played for Golden state last year.

still a good chance we could package Verajao...March 15th will be week 5 of his 4-6 week injury...teams will be more cautious with his injury history but would no doubt love to have him for the late push towards the playoffs...and usually the cavs have been a pain in the knicks ass but now with Lin i dont see any way the cavs win...any lack of effort the knicks previously had Lin has picked up and re-energized the team...we should actually get destroyed tomorrow...and thats fine with me

No way they get destroyed. Even with Lin, their defense is a joke, especially now that Marsh-melo is back. This Cavs team does a pretty good job of keeping games close. Yep, I'd still rather see a close loss and I'm an idiot for saying that but this team can only be built through the draft and every little spot up in the order, helps.

I really can't see Andy getting traded, they love him and his salary too much. It would have to be a damn good offer, something like an unprotected lottery pick. I just can't see that.

Tristan Thompson is developing nicely with his increased playing time and getting on the floor with KI. His six offensive rebounds last night were more than the entire Celtic team. I think he had 3 blocks also and, he hit 3-4 from the line.

Seriously? I don't know what's so confusing. He's illegible. You can't read Jeremy Lin. Unpossible.

Fail on my part... so much for surviving without coffee... sorry folks, I will refrain from posting before I've had my 3 cups of coffee in the morning.

Look at the bright side: Cavs lost but again played pretty well until the end of the final period, and two of their starters produce about as much offensively as any two here could. It sucks when your leading scorer blows from the free throw stripe.

It's awesome, they are good enough to compete with mostly anyone in the league, but not quite good enough to win regularly. Giving us a competitive team AND a high draft pick going into next season?! Thanks Lebron.

On the bright side there are only 3 teams that have won one or two games less than the Cavs so if they can trade Sessions, Jamison and maybe Andy they still have a shot at a top 5 draft pick. They just need to tank the rest of the season. I'd be happy if they could turn those three players into 2 first round picks and a young player. Any chance Philly would look to move ET?

good call....the cavs could tank the rest of the season and they could still end up with the 14th pick in the lottery...there is no guarantee at a shot at a top 5 pick...and no there is no chance philly trades turner...and besides him playing for ohio state why would u want him on the cavs? i could think of 50 other players in the NBA i would want on the cavs before Turner

depending on where they finish, there are only so many slots they could fall in the draft.

basically, unless any team from 10-14 doesn't win the lottery, the cavs probably won't pick lower than 7 if they finish 5th.

is it still worst 3 teams are guaranteed to pick no worse then 8th?

top 3 picks are done via lottery. the remaining picks are done by record. so, the lowest #1 can pick is #4 and so on. So finishing 5th means at worst a #8 pick. The odds of 3 teams not in the top 4 winning the lottery are so minuscule that it's not in the realm of reality.

The two premier big men in the draft will be gone by the time the Cavs draft. Casspi, is a very good bench player, but not an NBA starter on a good team. Being the master of the understatement, we also could use a shooting guard.

If nothing changes, the Cavs will have a "decent" first round pick and two "decent" second round picks. I'm hoping they draft an above average forward, and an above average shooting guard. Hopefully, they can do well with more than one of the picks.

At this point, I would want to keep Session, and sign him long term. I also would like to keep Andy. It would be nice to have a front line good enough that Andy is the first big man off the bench.

Jamison I'm hoping we can trade to a team looking to cut long term salary.
In other words, they trade us a good younger player with an outrageous contract for Jamison who has an expiring contract. If a title contender offered us their late first round pick, I'd hop at that as well.
