Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

Was at the game last night, although as far away from Kate Upton as one could get while still being in the same room. If Lebron ever starts playing like Lebron this team will be unstoppable. I'm sure I'm wrong, but it seemed like he couldn't hit a shot outside of 10 feet other than a FT. The first 2ish quarters it seemed like the Cavs were content to let the Bucks come down the floor, get up a shot, and pull the rebound if they missed. At some point of the 3rd the rebounding and offense went to shit and the Bucks kept getting as many shots as it took to make a basket every time down the floor. You could see the Cavs pick up the D in the 4th and the Bucks wilt under the pressure.

The offense off the bench is scary bad, although I think it's on Blatt to make sure Kyrie and Love are on the floor when Lebron is on the bench. I would much rather see Lebron with 4 of Waiters/Miller/Harris/Marion/Thompson rather than Kyrie, Waiters, Harris, Marion, Thompson. Most nights that group just doesn't have enough offense to sustain a lead. Lebron ended up with 26 points, but the 6-15 shooting held the Cavs back. The 14 combined turnovers by him and Love would have sunk the Cavs against a better team.

That being said at no point during the game did I feel like the Cavs were going to lose. This team has the ability to turn around a 10 point deficit very quickly. There are only a handful of teams in the league that won't crack if they have a lead and the Cavs start their 4th quarter run.

Part of me wonders if Lebron purposely took a back seat to Kyrie last night because of the whole shoe release. He made sure to pimp Nike in his post game interview. Needless to say they are going to need more than Kyrie if they want to beat the Raptors tonight.

We'll see where this team really is tonight. They're winning, and that's what really counts, but they still play really bad basketball for extended stretches almost every night. You would hope by now that they would be really starting to gel. The really alarming part is that they are still getting very little from the bench. Waiters and TT have been pretty bad for the most part, and Mike Miller looks 72 years old. Joe Harris showed a lot of promise for a few games, but has leveled off. But, that's one of the issues you have to deal with when you have a "Big 3." I wish they could find a way to get Corey Brewer. He'd add a little more offense and a lot more defense.

Tonight's an opportunity to step up and show that they really are turning the corner, or if they're still struggling to find an identity.

Add Marion to the under-performing list. He'll make a play here and there, but then chuck a corner 3 off the side of the backboard or throw a pass directly to an opponent.

If the Cavs can get 2 of the big 3 to show up tonight and play some D they should win. If everyone other than Kyrie plays like last night they will get slaughtered.

Blatt still needs to work on his rotations when Lebron is on the bench. Kyrie seems to be out there by himself when Lebron sits.

Kyrie was breaking ankles last night

Kyrie being in the zone last night made it easy for LeBron to take the back seat. He admitted as much in the post game interviews. And made it doubly easy that LeBron was having an off night.
