Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

I mean I would accept Z if he really thinks he could do it. He would definitely help at a position of need. He may not be a great rim protector, especially at 40, but he would still be a big body and one that has had a lot of rest. Imagine that pick and pop back in CLE. However, I do think it would be very strange seeing as we just retired his uni lol.

Imagine at little stretches of a game a lineup of:

Kyrie, Miller, LeBron, Love, Z... 3 amazing outside shooters to compliment Kyrie and LBJ's ability to get inside and score or pop it out.

It would be weird, and I will believe it when I see it, but after this whirlwind of an off-season, I don't know if my brain can handle anymore shockingly good surprises.

I don't buy it. Do you cut all 3 Utah guys and Kirk to have room for Marion, Allen, and Z on the 15 man roster? If so your PG's are Kyrie, Dion, Delly, and Lebron. I'm guessing Harris and Powell will spend the whole season in Canton, but you would still have Haywood and Z taking turns wearing a suit instead of a uniform. I figured they would try to move the Utah guys for a body rather than just cutting them and that's assuming they didn't want any of them on the roster. Wouldn't Z get a ring just for being in the front office?

Matt Dellavedova
Joe Harris
Brendan Haywood
Kyrie Irving
LeBron James
James Jones
Alex Kirk
Kevin Love
John Lucas III
Mike Miller
Erik Murphy
Dwight Powell
Malcolm Thomas
Tristan Thompson
Anderson Varejao
Dion Waiters
Shawn Marion
Ray Allen
Z

Most teams are lucky to have one Top-20 player. Even more rare, are teams that have two Top-20 players.
Cleveland has THREE!

People talk about Kyrie and Love needing the ball in their hands, only one ball to go around, ect.
I think LeBron will be glad to have that problem.
He was worn down in Miami, they didn't have a good PG to setup the offense and Bosh wasn't good at creating shots.
Wade missed a third of the season, so LeBron was left baring most of the load.

With Kyrie, Love and even Dion being able to create offense (and being so young) LeBron should be able to get a lot of rest in the regular season.
He will need it, after 4 straight Finals.

Dumb question. What is the better starting lineup? Kyrie + anyone on the FIBA roster or Kyrie, Waiters, Lebron, Love, and Andy? I think Curry and Davis beat out Waiters and Andy, but Lebron and Love probably more than make up for it.

Love hasnt exactly seemed overjoyed in Cleveland so far. hehe

Wonder if he feels like he came here with no better choice vs that this is where he wants to really play?

If you asked any player if they would rather be in a major market or Cleveland they would probably choose the major market, but if you asked them would they rather play on a losing team in a major market or a winning team in Barrow Alaska most of them would probably pick the winning team. I know shit about basketball and I could probably coach the Cavs to a title or two over the next 5 years and Blatt is supposed to be a really good coach so I'm expecting a lot from this team.

Back to your point. If I'm Kevin Love and I have the ability to play the prime of my career making max money and playing with Lebron and Kyrie I'm ecstatic. When his max deal runs out in five or six years maybe he can look to take the vet min to go to LA and win one for his home team.

Who cares if he WANTS to be here... as long as he stays here and wins championships I don't care. MOST professional athletes don't want to be in the city they are in. But it is part of the job.

besides doing cartwheels instead of walking I think hes seemed pretty happy to be here...he could of told flip saunders there is no way in hell he will ever sign a long term deal with cleveland if he didnt want to come here and there is no way the cavs still make that deal, especially giving up wiggins

LeBron is the only reason Love is playing for the Cavs. LeBron recruited him.
Without LeBron, Love would not have promised to stay long term and the Cavs would not have traded Wiggins.

Its like football recruiting. New kids coming in from out of state don't really care about Columbus, Ohio.
But once they bond and go to war together, the team becomes something they cherish and enjoy representing.

Love may not care to be in Cleveland, but he will take pride and enjoy building a championship team.
It will become part of his legacy.
