ESPN sources say Houston and Dallas have barged into the Mike Miller race trying to keep LeBron's sharpshooter buddy from choosing Cleveland

Denver has had best financial offer on the table for Mike Miller. But Rockets, Mavs and now Cavs farther down winning path he's said to seek

Mathew Dellavedova has been maybe the best point guard in Las Vegas. Not in terms of pure talent, but because he can run an offense and always seems to make the right play. Summer League is where players come to get noticed and often point guards don’t want to just organize and run the offense. Dellavedova is doing just that. He got into the paint and can finish (3-of-4 in the paint in this game) also got a nice outside catch-and-shoot motion, which could come in handy with that LeBron James guy on the Cavs now.

Tristan is an integral part of this team
Who would your subs be for LeBron and Love?
How is $5M for Tristan too big a salary
sheez
Did you guys watch the finals?
the bench was a huge difference

Tristan is due an extension and is in his last year, so he is due for a big bump in salary next season.

They're going to have to renegotiate Varejao's contract.. and add years

Do the Cavs have any official 'free agents' they can play contract games with?

If you are over the cap, do you still get any of those exceptions ($5M or $3M)?

I read somewhere that the Cavs do not have those exceptions this season. So once we get to the cap number, we can only sign vet minimum contracts.

if mike miller were to take cleveland's offer, the cavs would have $1.4 million to spend. anything else would have to be a vet minimum contract.

as for tristan thompson, david griffin, in the offseason, stated that the team needed to get smarter basketball players. david blatt is a coach that doesn't tolerate idiocy on the court, or guys repeatedly making the same mistakes over and over. so, for tristan thompson, he's either going to put it together and flourish, or sit at the end of the bench so blatt doesn't punch him in the face.
