Cleveland Cavs (2016 NBA Champions)

So, trade out or go for it?
Don't over think it, draft Wiggins. Most talented player with potential to be a superstar. Parker might be the safer pick, but his ceiling is considerably lower. Embiid has built in back issues...eff that.

Kevin Love better than any prospect in this draft? Could be tempting. I'd probably just go with Wiggins and see if we can find a big man somewhere, or maybe sway Love in FA. Just have to keep healthy next year.
I think Wiggins may be the one that you can say has the potential to be better. But, Love, as good as he is, doesn't seem like the guy you build a team around. He seems like the guy you add when you have the guy you build the team around. Wiggins has the potential to be "that guy", IMO. Put him and Kyrie together (if Kyrie can ever stay healthy) and you have might have two elite pieces right there. That's one more than they ever had with the quitness.

I thought Kyrie was the piece to build around. Questions now due to durability? That sucks if so, kid is a baller.

I guess it depends on the style of basketball you want to play also. With the new staff coming in wanting uptempo, I might also think Wiggins or Parker to run in that offense. Still, when the hell are they going to find a big man? Z had his nice offensive moments but there hasn't been a quality big man in Cleveland since Daugherty.

I think the durability is a concern. He's missed decent time every year so far. I think he is a guy you build around if he can stay healthy...but that is awfully questionable at this point.

As for the big man, I'm not sure you need an elite Center anymore. Today's NBA is built around athletic wings and point guards. Miami has had scrap metal playing center the past three years. Dallas had Tyson Chandler. Draft Wiggins, lock up Kyrie (and pray he can figure out how to stay healthy), and find one more piece...maybe somebody like a LaMarcus Aldridge. And hope Anthony Bennett doesn't join a host of "biggest bust" lists.

I just hope the Quitness talk is kept to a minimum. Dude ain't coming back. Not now. If he does, I'll eat my hat.

In fairness, last year's draft was a steaming turd. Oladipo* might have been the best pick in that draft, and the Cavs already had Kyrie and Waiters. Where would he play? In fact, last year's draft was so bad, that Bennett might not have even been the worst pick. Otto Porter was even worse as the #3 pick. Maybe pick Noel, but he has built in injury history and didn't even play as a rookie."

*well, Michael Carter-Williams had a fine season, but he was never in the discussion to go #1...and, again, a PG.
