Cleveland Browns (official thread of Masochism 2015)

For the record, if there was a WR worth drafting at #12 on the same level as the top-3 WRs in this draft, I'd be all for him as well. Just get them somebody to catch the ball that isn't a scrub. Right now we have Bowe (old and useless for the last three years), Hartline (journeyman-type), Hawkins (journeyman), and Hawkins (UFA, meh).

They have consistently been dreadful on offense. Start bringing in some skill position players worth a damn. They have 2 promising RBs, so there's a start.

At least we only have to deal with Manziel for one more season. When he still sucks sober they will clean house next year and draft a new QB. The only thing worse than drafting Manziel where they did would be using the other first round pick on him. Should have traded him to the Cowboys for a second rounder while Hoyer was still playing well.

Jerruh is just waiting to scoop him up like he did Brandon Weeden. Fortunately, Weeden led the Cowboys to victory the one game Romo missed due to injury and Dallas secured home field in the playoffs instead of having to go to Lambeau. Fuck.

Never mind.

Browns and Falcons officials were informed at this week’s owners meetings of the discipline that is expected to be announced next week, per league sources. One source said the discipline is expected to be “severe.”

:slappy: they will give the browns more draft picks so they can fuck it up even more.

Jim Mora used a cell phone on the sidelines during overtime to try and gather information to decide whether or not to play for a tie in overtime. He only got a $25k fine.
You're assumption is that the nfl will be logical.

They will be arbitrary and spiteful. I fully expect the loss of a pick be it first or 2nd round.

loss of a pick is probable. but they'd have a very hard time even trying to justify a penalty on par with bountgate or spygate, especially after goodell ran his mouth and already said that the fact that there was no competitive advantage gained, given the content of the texts, would be a mitigating factor.

If anything, the NFL seems to drop the hammer on the inconsequential and trivial things while going light on the important stuff - all in the name of Protecting The Shield®.
