Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

This is all on Berry. Baker wanted…..basically begged…..to be a part of the team yet Berry thought he could outsmart the league and get Watson on board and performing like he was in 2020.

Baker is not only better than Watson, he’s actually progressing as an above average and possibly top 10 to 12 QB in the league.

What the Browns could have done with all that money and those picks. Wow.

I’m going to cheer for Field to beat the Browns this year…..at least twice.
Berry isn't alone in the blame, although this should cost him his job.

Haslam is the problem. Haslam wanted that trade.

Bagwell for Andersen, Pippin for Polynice, Kobe for Divac…I think only Babe Ruth for musical money wrecked a franchise long term more than the Watson trade will.
Oh, those were awful trades value-wise; but I'm talking about giving up a shit ton for a high profile, supposed superstar only for him to produce next to nothing. Watson looks like your standard issue 1999-2018 Clowns QB.

It would have been one thing if Watson was coming off of a career year and just went south, but he hadn’t even played football for what, almost 2 years? The only one who thought that trade was objectively a good idea was Haslam’s homeless guy.

A team known as having THE BEST OL in football got mauled at the line
and it was made worse by abysmal penalties... really stupid shit...
I'm not a Willis fan at all... but Hudson is horrible and Dawand was exposed (his Achilles heal is ultra quick rushers and Parsons came to play
No one on offense was worth a crap.. WRs and RBs were ass too
Going to give Watson some benefit because Mahomes would have had his ass handed to him today if he was our starter

Everything was bad yesterday. The Watson trade will go down as one of the worst in NFL history since it will be judged on how well the Texans do in the aftermath. Trading 3 first round picks was bad, but giving the dude the biggest guaranteed contract after he refused a trade was incredibly stupid. Not that Fields is a great QB, but I would have rather stuck with Baker for the last year of his contract then traded the Bears a pick for Fields. Even if it was a single first round pick at the time the Browns would be in a better spot now than they are. Add that to the fact that they paid Baker 10M to go away when Watson was suspended for most of his first season anyway. I can only imagine how well Baker would have played if they told him to suck it up and be the QB Watson's first year here. He plays best while being disrespected and that would be the ultimate disrespect.

On a side note I had a coach once that said things are never as good or bad as they look in week 1. Hopefully that is the case for the Browns, but they better get one of the LT's healthy and get Dawand on Ozempic. I can only imagine how good the dude would be if they could get him down to 320-330

Let us not forget all the goodwill the Clowns burned with bringing on Watson and his baggage.

I did not think the Clowns could have outdone themselves on the QB position after selecting Manziel, but here we are.
