Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

A lot of what you say about Allen is true, but Allen was always a high risk, high reward prospect ... while Baker was always a high risk, low reward prospect.

A really strange move by Dorsey to go with Baker over Allen ... especially after he hit a grand slam with a high risk, high reward guy (Mahomes) in Kansas City.

EDIT: The irony is, the Browns don't even need a Josh Allen to be a Super Bowl contender, they just need a QB who isn't trash. Someone like Derek Carr or Jimmy Garoppolo, for example.

Agreed on Mahomes being high risk, high reward. But I still can't quite follow you on the Josh Allen without the benefit of hindsight. This was a kid who was passing at 55% with really spotty accuracy and poor decisions. At the time I remember thinking high risk, high bust with little to no upside. Mason Rudolph looked better at times during his stint with the Pokes and that boy was hot garbage when he had to throw anything other than a fastball.
Mahomes was 66% at TTU and Baker was closer to 70%. Now I've said before Completion % doesn't = accuracy. But....damn. I can't stress how bad Allen looked without having a chuckle.

Either way, JA's transformation has been without equal IMHO. I've never seen a QB look so inept and then blossom at a higher level of competition.

As for Jimmy G, there exists a large contingent of Browns fans that believe Baker can "return to 2020 form" and that will make him a franchise QB. Hate to break it to that contingent, 2019 Jimmy G's stats are better across the board
save for INT% by .8, I believe? And we all know that Jimmy G hitting a couple easy passes would have been the difference between San Fran winning the Superbowl over KC that year. In short, these people don't believe Garropallo is a franchise QB, then they have to accept there is little-to-no evidence of Baker being one sans some grood, but incredibly streaky play.

“Getting off all social media for the foreseeable future,” Mayfield wrote. “Gotta do what's best to focus on me, my family and loved ones. Appreciate all the support. Time to get right.”

Is he going to stop doing insurance commercials too to focus on his family and loved ones?
