Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

In a draft class that appears to be very deep at WR, I think moving up for one would be a questionable idea. Especially when you're the 13th pick, plenty of space to move down a few spots, gain more draft capital and
still get a quality player. Truth is, this team still needs to invest rather smartly in IDL, center, quality depth on the oline and possibly LB.

Not a knock on Garrett at all, he's going to be a good, possibly great, NFL WR.

I wouldn’t have a problem with it. They have plenty of ammunition if they want to move up a few spots.

I’ve heard chatter about this actually happening, too.

If they are getting rid of Jarvis, I think a WR must be the first pick. Hopefully Wilson is just there at 13. I do agree that it’s a pretty deep WR class, but I also think Wilson is the best in the class.

Not going to say I’d be upset if they drafted o-line with their first pick, I just think they need other stuff significantly more than offensive line. I would be pretty pissed if they drafted a center in the first round. I don’t know enough about the top linebackers to comment on them.

At this point, next season feels like it'll be a long, slow march to another 8-9 type of season. Way too many good QBs in the AFC for this team to realistically have a shot a playoff spot. Mayfield isn't good enough. Fingers crossed they can make a play for a QB at the top of next season's draft.

I'd prefer to hope for a healthy return to 2020 form and finding out there isn't a need to draft a QB in the near term. This team doesn't need a top 10 QB to push for a deep playoff run. We still have a solid OL, top tier running game, and a defense that doesn't lose games. A healthy Mayfield and some new WR talent should round things out. And this assumes Stefanski can make the appropriate corrections in play calling, which IMO is the biggest issue the offense faces this year.

Let's say money aside, should the Browns have gone after Wentz maybe?

That gets a big FUCK NO from me. Even if Baker isn't the guy, Wentz was never the guy.. for any team

It was more of a setup question, I suppose.

Because statistically from their best seasons, Baker and Wentz are damn near the same QB. And nobody is saying that Frank Reich is an issue in Indy.

I guess it's me attempting to speak to the idea that Stefanskis play calling is somehow the largest offensive issue for this team to overcome.

Gotcha and don't disagree. I just feel that the offense won't find success, regardless of team health or QB play, if Stefanski doesn't also return to his 2020 form. Not doubting that he can correct things, in fact I would be more surprised if he continues making the same mistakes.

Just curious, because I'm a glutton for detail, what adjustments do you suppose Stef should make that would be more '2020'...?
