Cleveland Browns (Finally drafting Buckeyes)

you are too concerned about analytics when the majority of the league is using them also, I do not think that the Browns will be using analytics as much as they have done under prior organizations we shall see but do not worry about the draft when free agency is right down the road

My concern isn't the use of said analytics, it has been the application of them towards personnel. A concern and criticism that is very valid given this teams previous drafting.

total new regime… give them a chance… I know that has been said before but most people on this thread do not even give a new regime a chance… Not very enjoyable and that is why I do not post over here much

I'm going to give them more than a chance, so far I like what I've seen and what I've heard. I'm looking forward to training camp. But until the results on the field have improved, I will be cautiously optimistic and even slightly skeptical at times. It's only healthy to be that given the last... 20 years? How this team handles Free Agency will be a big start in helping to shape future goodwill that I, and probably a great many others, will show along with money invested in seeing games.

Huh. Just found out that Andrew Berry graduated from my high school 6 years after did. Gotta say.....I think I’ve done better for myself. He may have a Masters from Harvard, but at least I’ve never worked for the Browns.
He willingly came back for a 2nd stint with the Browns... gotta question ANY persons judgement that does that

According to overthecap.com, the Browns will save about $6.675 million in salary cap for 2020 for releasing Kirksey. There will be $2.4 million in dead cap space. Prior to the move, the Browns had the seventh-most salary cap space entering free agency with just under $62 million. They now will have more than $68 million in salary cap space.

Wonder if they are going to let Vernon go as well. I have to imagine they are packing up his locker any minute now.

Pretty sure Vernon has no dead money so it wouldn't surprise me. Have to replace some of these guys through FA. Really need a dominate interior LB.

I've heard Kirksey lives in my neighborhood so I'll have to watch for a moving truck. Would have been nice to rework his deal to make it more incentive based. He was great when healthy, but he just couldn't say on the field.
