Teddy didn’t want to come here before the draft. He sure as hell didn’t work his way back from injury to come here now. I think he’d re-tear his ACL, dislocate his knee and go snort lines off a dolphin first.

I'm just saying Teddy Bridgewater over and over for fun at this point. Its not even clear he'll be available.

At any rate, its clear that Washington didn't view Smith as a bridge situation, so, I guess the market overall is a little murky.

Never, EVER underestimate Dan Snyder's ability to do something galactically stupid.
saw something this morning, can't remember who but "this is the price for a franchise QB".... they gave up a 3rd and a STARTING CB to a team that was likely gonna cut the QB.. brilliant... like browns level almost. Browns would have given a 1st and 2nd plus a starting CB

I cannot imagine being a Skins fan. At least clowns fans have the comedy-factor, and (for the most part) have accepted that it's just a shit franchise. The Skins spend enough money that they aren't often clowns-level bad, and are even occasionally teased with the possibility of contention before it all blows up in their face somehow.

I don't think the impact in the aggregate will be all that significant, as I think Smith and Cousins are fairly similar from a production standpoint. But, one of the benefits of going with Smith, presumably, would be that he wouldn't come at as stiff a pricetag. Now, add in they gave up a good draft pick, one of the league's most versatile CBs and turned and handed a QB in his mid-30's a premium contract...woof.
