I'm giving them this year, this could be...and I mean could...a good and hungry young defense. The offense is still a succubus, by I think that is because Kizer is trying to throw to teeth-shattering wet farts like Kenny Britt. Kizer and Coleman could at least get something going. We'll see. But I think their prospects long term (3 years from now) are better than, say, the Ravens or the Cavs

I'm really hoping this is the best Browns D that we've seen in a long time (not saying much). Not expecting much from the offense, but I'll be happy with an average running game and development from Kizer and Coleman. A successful season would be Kizer looking good enough that the Browns can take the BPA (hopefully WR) in the first round rather than QB.

Best case scenario, and I mean 3some with your 2 favorite adult stars scenario, would be Kizer looks like a QB to stick with next year, Coleman looks like a solid WR2, and some combination of Crow, Dayes, and/or Johnson look like they can run the ball for a cumulative 1200 yards. I have little hope for the TE they drafted, he already looks like a bust.

Then, if the front 7 looks good on defense, you can spend all 5 high picks next year on a playmaking WR, secondary help to replace the corpse of Haden and some of the no-names, and then maybe try and find a RT. Middle rounds can go to maybe a useful TE and LB depth.

But, this is the Clowns, so trade all top 3 picks for another QB project and then draft another TE that can't catch and a Kenny Britt clone.

No need to find a RT. Shon locked that down in camp and has been getting better and better every week.

WR, DB, maybe DT and LB will be our biggest issues. Schobert in the middle is still a question mark to me.
Yes, but I expect him to move to the left side in a year or two when Thomas decides to hang them up. We will need another young tackle, and though I don't know the talent next year yet, it would be a good time to get one, before Thomas leaves.

Browns trying to find a trade partner for Erving… good luck with that. Maybe if the Browns would eat his salary someone might take him and I mean take him.
Also, trying to get rid of JH which I say it is about time. He probably will play 2 or 3 games this season and then be out with a bad ankle. Get rid of him… I never thought that he was a All-Pro CB anyhow.

If Bitonio Stays healthy they can always slide him out to RT. Might be easier to find a guard that another OT. I agree with @Buckeneye with regard to help at DB, WR, and a MLB. That is assuming Kizer lives up to Jackson's expectations and I just have my doubts.

Osweiller, Erving, and Haden all being shopped around. Only one that might fetch ANYTHING in return is Haden. I am 100% on board with this. He's always injured and not very good anymore when he isn't. Nothing against Joe - I like him - but time to move on and improve the team.

I think the FO believes they can develop Rod Johnson long term. He comes from the same piss poor coaching at FSU and he's quite raw but physically and mentally far beyond Erving. Cam is a lineman that doesn't like contact.

If true the Browns aren't going to be able to trade away anyone because teams know that they will probably get cut the next day. This might be a favor to Haden to get him on the market before cuts next week so he has a better shot at finding a good landing spot. Probably sign with the Steelers and find a cure for vaginitis.

One has nothing to do with the other. Hadens contract is why he got released. Ervings on a rookie deal, so he's not going anywhere unless he gets traded.

Unless they think he's so shitty they want him gone. Of all the guys on the trading block Haden was really the only one with value, although if Osweiler makes the team I wouldn't be shocked if he has to start at some point this season. That's why I would have rather had him start the season and get replaced with Kizer than the other way around. Sounds like they wanted to renegotiate with Haden and he refused. He's never going to see all that money anyway, but might be better off this year getting the rest of what the Browns owe him and whatever other contract he signs. I'd pick the team with the best chance at a Super Bowl that needs help at CB.
