Fearless prediction: the Jets will be worse than the Browns.
I don't doubt that. They've drafted almost as poorly as the clowns over their last 6-7 years, have little-to-no continuity in their front office/coaching staff, have a revolving door at qb, and have made horrific free agent decisions. Plus, they cut a number of their key contributors from last year's dumpster fire. When you look at it, it's really pretty remarkable how much these organizations have mirrored each other the last few years.

I know it's only the preseason, but I will say this...for the first time...since the rebirth? The clowns might have a reasonably solid defense this year. They actually appear to have some athletes, and they have a real DC, with a real scheme. Gregg Williams might be a despicable human being, but the fucker can coach defense.

Coleman had a few really nice grabs tonight. Especially a couple that stand out for being very well placed by Kizer.

As for Deshone himself, he had a few great moments, showed a willingness to buy time and keep his eyes down field. Also an arm and a mind to drive the ball.
Did some good things and some not so good things. The 5 man pressure where he delivered the ball to Kenny on the skinny post was money. Good read, good throw and Britt stonehanded it.

Still needs time to make his footwork more consistent and his ball trajectory to be a bit lower on the deep comebacks. But I'll be the first to say it, there have been a couple flashes of a potentially solid QB.

Looks like they're going with Kizer.

3-0?!! Looks like I'll have to continue not to watch. Tuned in long enough to see them go behind by a field goal, then turned it off. Seems like any time I direct my attention at a shaky team, they fall apart. Maybe I can ignore them all the way into a playoff berth.

As my late father commented when Albert Belle was chasing kids with SUVs (among his many transgressions), "we don't pay him to be a humanitarian. We pay him to destroy baseballs"

I have been following the Browns for quite some time and while this might be their best team in quite some time I just cannot get excited about them. I really could care a shit. I always have had a favorite player but cannot think of one guy on this year's who I really can root for. I do not even like Jackson and think that he will flop in a couple years if not sooner.

I'm giving them this year, this could be...and I mean could...a good and hungry young defense. The offense is still a succubus, by I think that is because Kizer is trying to throw to teeth-shattering wet farts like Kenny Britt. Kizer and Coleman could at least get something going. We'll see. But I think their prospects long term (3 years from now) are better than, say, the Ravens or the Cavs
